My Advent trade ports shut down when I resource focus...

I only play diplomacy (v1.34) so I don't know if this an exclusive bug or whatever, or if I'm missing something really obvious.

So, I research trade port, build one, and soon after, I research the resource focus ability. When I click on that ability, the trade port stops all functions, (it says "Structure work disabled") and nothing happens. I check back later, and still no refinery ships have spawned, and all I'm left with is a quiet but stylish husk of industrial waste floating around my planet.

What am I not doing right here?

Its supposed to do that. Resource focus doesn't spawn refinery ships, it just boosts resource production on the given planet (enable and disable it and notice the asteroid extraction rate numbers).

there is a reason it uses the forw 'focus' if you notice all the trade ships spawned shut down. it means whomever is the the trade port forgets them and focusus on the planet

because you can't sell rocks at a food market and expect to make a profit!!

Its not cost efficient either, so I would not bother researching it unless you have too. Make sure you get the boosted resource extraction if you do.
