Maybe it has not been implemented yet? Anyway, I won the game with spell of mastery and I got a 0 score 
My endgame score is also always 0, so my guess is that it's just not actually implemented yet.
I've seen scores as high as 60, from conquest and alliance victories. Maybe the spell of making always gets a score of zero? The scores I had were never posted to the high scores list, so it does seem like this part of the game isn't finished.
I've won by conquest and by alliance and at difficulty levels up to "hard" and always rated as "Janusk". I don't *think* I was playing that badly :)
Think it needs work.
But generally I really like the idea of a top-score list. Properly implemented it can keep me coming back to a game over & over to see if I can beat my all-time best. (My best with MoM was was more than a decade after it came out, and I got one in the top 10 just a few weeks ago, while waiting for the Fe beta to start).
