Free Copy of Fallen Enchantress

Hello,

I purchased a physical copy of the Collector's Edition of War of Magic when it first came out in 2010, and registered with Impulse immediately.  However, when I log into the forums it says that I must purchase a copy of Fallen Enchantress instead of receiving it for free even though I purchased the game when it first came out.

How do I go about getting my free copy of Fallen Enchantress?

Thanks in advance.

You need to be using the same account as then, since that is where your registration will be.

Geez, Kryo, are you saying that someone couldn't just create a new account and then say they bought the game to get FE for free.  What is the world coming too?

I have the game registered with the Impulse client and not with the forum.  I was not aware that in order to receive a free copy of Fallen Enchantress that I had to have been registered on the forums when I purchased it.  I only recently registered with the forums when it appeared to me that was the necessary case.  Is there someway to be able to show you (Stardock) that I did register the game with Impulse when I first purchased it?  I tried to register the game on this account but it only seems to allow games that I had downloaded digitally.

Your comment is absolutely unnecessary.  If you have nothing to say that could help me with my problem please keep your comments to yourself.

Log in with your Impulse account at download.stardock.com, that should work. It needs to be the same login information as you used when you bought the game.

Lighten up, kid.

Impulse's and our account systems were one and the same at the time you registered back in 2010. They were split in the middle of last year after Impulse was purchased by GameStop; all Impulse accounts that existed prior to that point should still exist here. So there will already be an existing account here with your registration on it mirroring your Impulse account (thus your inability to reregister it).

I thought the beta was only available at the moment for people who pre-ordered EWOM.....don't emails go out next week for people who bought the game in 2010?

I hope that;s the case because I bought EWOM in Dec 2010 and the beta isn't appearing in Impulse for me yet.

The beta won't ever appear in Impulse--it will only be available via the Stardock store and/or SDC. But the OP's question was in regards to it showing whether or not one's copy is free on the FE purchase page.

Cruxador's advice is sound. For some reason the FE purchase page wants me to pay for the game, but the Stardock download site correctly gives me access to the beta.

Hey guys, probs a silly question but now that Stardock and Impulse are seperate can I still get FE on Impulse when I get my free copy?

Do I just register the Serial from the Stardock download page on Impulse and that's it?

Looking forward to checking out the beta as well, I had high hopes for WOM and from what I've read FE seems to be a huge improvement.

:D

That's our bad.  Seems there were duplicate records in our database for your email address, and the page was looking at the wrong one.  I've merged them together, so you should be all set there.

If anyone else is having issues similar to this, feel free to contact [email protected] and let them know what is happening.  Give them any email addresses you've used, just in case they need to search around for a registration.

Hi. I just logged into my Stardock account and I'm only receiving a $10 discount off the purchase price when I have the original copy of Enchantress.  Any help?

Hey suxs kid, you can play Fallen Enchantress and demigod from the Stardock downloader and not deal at all with Gamestop Impulse.  If that doesn't satisfy you, too bad.

You didn't.  When Stardock sold Impulse to Gamestop, your Impulse credentials were copied over to Stardock's.  Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with the forums (although you can use those same credentials to post here).  Go to stardock.com, at the top-right select "login" and use the same email and password that was associated with Impulse back when it was Impulse (if you changed passwords since then, they wouldn't know here), then click on "My Downloads."  You should see a list of games, including "Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Hero Upgrade."  When you click on it, you will see your serial number with which you register the game on Steam.

Is there a you bought elemental too late to get Fallen enchantress date? because I have the collectors edition of Elemental but no Fallen enchantress on my Stardock central is there a way to see if I am owed a game? Has to be said that when I lock in with my account the game is full price.

As you bought WoM on 6/1/2012 you do not qualify

Is there anyway to see when I got WoM? Didn't really follow things after trying out WoM and getting frustrated with it but then saw this and am wondering if I qualify since all I'm getting on the Stardock page is $15 off base FE. I account problems before though so wondering if I just added the game too late to qualify or if my account is running into problems, thanks.

You registered in 03/31/2011.  No free games.

I'm a bit confused (sorry).

If my copy of elemental was purchased on 30 Nov 2011 does that mean I should qualify for a discount from the price of FE? Or did it have to be purchased from Impulse?

The copy I've got was purchased via an ebay seller, it's a physical copy. I'm not entirely sure when or if I've registered it, but gamestop shows the product as last being updated 27 Sept 2011 - which is before the purchase was made. (So was that the last time the product itself was updated?)

I have got a registration key which I can mail as proof if required.

(I think I must be in the minority in that I was just happily playing away at the original Elemental from time to time, until I wandered in here looking for mods and stumbled upon FE and this post - how long had it all been going on for? lol)

MAybe I am looking at the dates wrong, but I think nov 2011 is a year too late, I think you had to register it by Dec 31 2010 to get a free copy of Fallen Enchantress.  But, I think you could still be eligible for  discount, not sure though.

Hey thanks for the quick reply :-) I don't think you're looking at the dates wrong, but I think you might have mistaken the question I was asking.

I also think I could be eligible for the discount, but I'm not sure myself either .. and I haven't the foggiest idea about how to prove/check whether I'm eligible.
