Spartacus: Vengeance, Episode One available NOW

The new season of Spartacus: Vengeance has begun early for us online viewers. STARZ has for whatever reason, made Episode 1 available for online streaming one week before the official premier. I don't know if this is in error, or this is a network reaching out to its online viewership by giving us a boon.  Whatever the case, its there right now. I'm watching it.. just paused to share with you the news.

If you've never seen the series before, be forewarned the violence is especially graphic, as is the frequent nudity.

"Shackle will be struck from every slave upon our path. We will see our numbers grow. And when they have become legion, we will face Glaber and the hordes of Rome again. And the gods shall weep for their suffering."

A few networks [around the globe] do this now and then.... typically to garner interest pre-show-time ...;)

Heh, It may just be a trick to enslave us to market their product for free. I know the slant Jafo. I care not. It's here. I enjoyed it, I share. If not a mistake, there is no need for haste. Unfortunately I see nothing to indicate further episodes will be available online (though previous seasons are available now). I think it probable they will hold back the online streaming like all the cheezeball networks do. So much for my moment of optimism ;~p Though the previous sessions were released to NetFlix, with just a one week delay. I hope the same holds true this season.

Some networks are good about providing ad sponsored, quality streams the same day they air. I think they are wise.

Is a shame about Andy Whitfield.

So far I think the new guy has filled the role well. Is hard to initially make the transition. But I think it won't take more than a couple episodes.

Thanks for the Karmic compliment myfist0. I wasn't sure it would resonate with anyone. I intend to tweak it further. Might finally do so today.

I recently read a posting that said the Starz vid is region restricted. That really sucks when they do that.

Indeed. Andy was a gifted actor and if not for him I don't think the series would be as popular as it is. The new guy I thought fit the bill. By the end of the episode you can almost pretend it was him the whole time. Hopefully in the end the show can be remembered for both Andy and the new guy but mostly so Andy isn't forgotten about.

It reminds me of another actor that slipped away from us a few years back and hardly anyone I know even knew. Remember on Hurculese and Xena the dude that played Ares? He died a couple years ago and was a really cool actor too. It's always sad when we loose someone with talent but even more so when they aren't remembered anymore.
