*waves hand in front of Ilindil*  "This is not the Beta you are looking for"

I bet these guys are still working 50+ hours a week on FE when they are not on holiday.  They can play SWTOR, Make FE great, take care of their bees, and have family time too.

Yeah... just because you spend a lot of your free time playing a game doesn't mean you have to neglect everything else. That's just dysfunctional. Besides, SWTOR is hardly the first good game to be released in the time SD has been in game development.

Didn't we get a timeframe for the beta already?  IIRC, Jan. 18 last I looked from Frogboy's update thread around Christmas time.

Irony... hard word.

Heavenfall, I don`t think that playing 4h a week is a lot of time. Btw. there was Skyrim also on the way last time, so not only SWOTR lately.

As i read on forum, beta suppose to be 1.01, so that`s why i`m writing.

Boy, Irony must be a hard word, as I have no idea why you are using it.

I think he says he was being ironic.

Ilindil, it's spelled SWTOR, not SWOTR.

Here are a couple of thoughts to put your mind at ease...

The good news is that while Brad has been playing Star Wars, Derek and Jon have been cranking out EFE content.  That's why Brad hired them... so he could play Star Wars while they worked.

or

Brad got beat by the AI on "challenging" level the other day so he considers the AI work all done for EFE.  Now he's just waiting for those laggards Derek and Jon to finish their shiz so we can start the beta.  And what better way to pass time while waiting than playing SWTOR!

Do either of those thoughts make you feel any better or less ironic?

Also, Brad only sleeps 2-3 hrs a day , so he has plenty of time to do other stuff.  Some folks are like that.  I often can get by on 3 hrs of sleep a day myself.

SWTOR won't affect the BETA date for Fallen Enchantress.

...it might affect the release date.

But hey, how many years was Minecraft in beta?

There is actually a medical condition named for this which I can't recall. I like to sleep I just don't seem to need it.

But if you are on Kaas City, join us!

Oh Lord... after getting some sleep i can see it now... Something that was going to be simple joke turned to look like QQ... Sorry if you was offended Frogboy. I`m working in same industry (as developer mostly web-based applications), so i really know how this all works (and yeah, working for 12+ hours a day happens also here).
Actually i`m looking for beta to help you a bit this time (i really hope this game will be THIS one for me). I`m good at finding bugs (but not the one i make :) ).

irony is iron-y

it's important to size up the competition. personal market research. to be viable in a tough economy they need to play SWTOR.

Don't worry guys I have infiltrated his guild and am keeping an eye on the play times of the devs with the help of a few of my spies.

Imperial intelligence is just as eager to get their hand on this beta.  :borg:

Mania was the first condition that came to my mind. But I don't have enough information to make a complete diagnosis. ;)
