my first skin in skinstudio soon done,

progress so far.

all made in gimp 2.0 and paint

Requirements for reales: Master premium status

this skin will not get realesed on WC pm me and you can get it from my store 

also the rest of my work will get realesed there

Heck, I remember when treetog was new.

Let's not get our knickers in a twist.  Not everyone agrees with the Master process...and not everyone wishes to distribute their works freely.

Skinning is more than just Wincustomize.com.  If the HOME of Windowblinds skinning cannot support  ALL Windowblinds skinners then what's its purpose?

I wont be helping this guy with skinning problems thats for sure.

i remember when i was new, who dosent? i made alot of bad posts, burnt alot of bridges, and still get warned about doing the wrong thing.

I still eat alot of humble pie.

you have the last say in this, so you can have it.

i just disagree strongly with what you are now supporting. to me, it lets everything this site stands for, down in a big way. concerning MORALE.

@ Jafo. Would you help someone design a structure if they were to get your advice and assistance, then in the next breath tell anyone who would listen just how poor your work is? Maybe even an article in Architectural Digest?  (Yes, I do read it.)

It isn't about ego, it's about attitude.

At any rate, I'm out of this discussion, as it doesn't really concern me, it just annoys me that anyone can come here, act like this and be seemingly rewarded for it.

It isn't like that.  If you must, it's akin to helping and then being told he doesn't agree with the qualification process for Architects....as some Architects' work is pretty ordinary.

And I agree, so the issue is moot....;)

If it's all about 'attitudes' then I have to say that of late some attitudes of long-time members has been pretty ordinary.

The site's OWNER cannot even adjust the Forum structure without hissy-fits from all and sundry.

Wincustomize' TOU refers to 'personal attack', not generalized opinion of whether some skins aren't good/workable/deserving of Master status.

[can't say I've noticed any finger-pointing].

You know, the quality of a skin is NOT dependent on the 'status' of a skinner, but ONLY on his/her talent.  Masters are just as good at making unappealing and/or impractical/unworkable skins as the next person.  It's just the workmanship that's typically superior.

Personal taste is important...;)

Well I have some"skinning" adviuce for you:

 

1:Spend some time getting to know the people you are insulting. They are good people who have worked hard to earn the status they have. As you have seen they welcome new skinners and are eager to help, but not if they will be degraded by the very person they are helping

2: Work your way up to Master if you want to advertise a paid skin here on WC. That's just the way it is done here.If not then go peddle  your work elsewhere. dA is full of folks that you can better relate to.

3: Get some real graphics software. No serious skinner is using MS Paint or Gimp. Seriously

4: Try figuring out SKS on your own if your skills are so advanced. You can do it, if you are as skilled as you claim.

I understand the cultural and language differences, but rude and insulting is universal.

IMHO, you have made a very bad first impression that I hope you can overcome but your current attitude is not welcome here.

2. i dont cear/want this status , its a moderator status , not skillbased. i dont need to sell it her i have my on site to sell it on. it was an offer to stardock.

3. gimp is perfectly workable, just amather of tast and not its options. "think press speak".

4. just did.  btw 80% of my q about sks isent doable in sks mabe thats wy i ask. trying to do an advanst option thet dosent work at all

master is a brand for schooled educated ppl . and it was a tip to stardock to expand  to sort out all the bulshit and let ppl easyer find what they want . a perfect working skin.

not easy to find in this , and like the way it is now , the good ones isent even in masterskins
