Harry Morgan (Col. Sherman T. Potter, M.D. of M*A*S*H*) Dead at 96

You were great!!!

Well, Harry Morgan has passed on at 96, this morning in L.A.

Most of us remember him for his role as Col. Potter, M.D. in M*A*S*H*. He won an Emmy for his acting that part. He also played in 'Pete and Gladys', and as Joe Friday's partner in 'Dragnet'.

He wasn't a megastar, but his portrayals were memorable.

Sometimes, "less" is one helluva lot more. I'll miss Harry Morgan's acting a great deal.

The picture above is from the show "The Tontine"... where he was the last remaining among his WWI friends... and told his Korean War friends about it, sharing a special vintage with them...

Fitting, I think. Bye, Sherm. Bless your memory, Harry.

Well, that sucks. Loved him in MASH.

96 years is a long lifetime these days.

Being old as I am, I remember him in December Bride, which was the show Pete and Gladys spun off from. He was the next door neighbor.

You had a good run, Harry. You will be missed.
