Liberals and liberalism killed John Lennon

I was talking to some people today and realized that it was liberals that have caused more deaths on this planet than communism and terrorism.

Here is how I got there.

When the United Kingdom went socialist back in the late 60’s early 70’s it was flush with cash. It could afford socialized medicine and paying people not to work. By the mid 70’s the UK went broke and to pay for all the great things they couldn’t afford they taxed the hell out of everyone.

John Lennon was a staunch liberal that was okay with this until the government reached into his pocket. He like most smart liberals wanted to be free of unfair taxes so he moved to the United States. This allowed him to keep the bulk of his money while still supporting liberalism. In 1980 he was murdered. Some say by the CIA others suspect the Illuminati while the rest of us think that some nutjob did it. All are wrong.

If the UK did not socialize its medicine, there would not have been a need to steal from the rich, the greedy rich would not have had to move out of the UK to protect their wealth and Mr. Lennon would not have had to live in New York allowing him to get murdered. This is not an isolated case many greedy rich have been murdered for the same reasons around the world. Had they not supported the system of government that caused their deaths it would not be so bad, but the point remains the same, liberalism kills people on a huge scale. Liberals support the very people that cause their deaths is a testament to the ignorance of the liberal progressive movement. Sure they have good intentions, but they have never succeeded in accomplishing more than mass death. Look at liberal, Nationalist Socialist Democrat party that had great plans for mankind, they wanted peace, equality and freedom for all. Free health care, everyone was promised a job and good wages. The results were not ideal but they tried.

Then there was the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic, they also professed freedom and equality for all with free health care. It lasted a whole 70 years before it spent the Tsar’s money and collapsed.

The People’s Republic of China went broke until it learned how to better steal money.

I see a trend here!

Now we have President Barack Obama telling us that the free market system never worked. He told us before he was elected that he would destroy the system we have in order to put in place a better one. One that will work. It is called socialism!  Cradle to grave care by your friendly government. Peace and equality for all.

For some strange reason I don’t buy it. I think it is that nagging thing called history.

Every government that has gone the socialist way has failed its people. Nowhere in history have we found that it works.

What has worked is the capitalist system. This nation was founded on freedom to make a profit. You make money, you hire people so you can make more money, people with money buy things, the more you buy the more people are hired. Prosperity is shared for those that want it at a level you want. While other nations went broke we prospered… until the socialists got a foothold in our government. Changing the rules of the game one generation at a time until we are in a mess.

Fix it America or we go the way of the Nazi, USSR, China, Grease, France, UK,Spain, Italy, and most of Africa.

Interesting train of thought. I see your point very clearly.

Liberals aren't interested in actually helping anyone; they just want power, and one fairly efficient way to do it is to get everyone hooked on entitlements, economic and social realities be damned.
For the ones who don't get hooked, you simply impose laws and regulations, forcing them to conform, using the brute force of government.

On january 1st, 40,000 new laws and regulations came into effect.

But you're forgetting other aspects of liberalism's reign of death; in the early 70s, enviro-nut William Ruckleshaus, head of the brand-spankin' new EPA, decided to see how powerful his agency could be. So, they started a propaganda war against a very useful product of Dow Chemical, DDT.

Now, Dr. Rachel Carson had fired the first volley in 1962, with her book, "Silent Spring" (speculation and opinion masquerading as scientific reasoning), which depicted a world without birds, all avian life having been killed by the sinister DDT.

Ruckelshaus continued and escalated the conflict, using federal funds, declaring it to be a carcinogen. As a result, DDT was banned by the EPA in 1972, and its use was later discouraged by the UN. And we're still feeling the effects of the EPA's uncontrolled muscle-flexing, to this day.

Since that time, roughly 40 million people (mostly in Africa and others of those poor, downtrodden Third World countries liberals love to hold up as examples of their great compassion) have died from malaria and other insect-borne illnesses.

Add to this liberal's support of abortion (nearly 53 million as of January 2010), and euthanasia (over 3,170 recorded), and the total reaches genocial proportions.

Now, just for laughs let's throw in the over 100 million killed by communism, the fount of their ideals and fondest wishes.

It's tyranny and/or imperialistic over expansion that caused some of the governments you mentioned (as well as many others throughout history) to fail not the underlying economic system. As to a few of the other countries you mention who are currently having economic woes,,,,,,they have mixed economies similar to our economic system.

Unfortunately you make an assumption about John Lennon that is not true. He did not move to America to protect his wealth or because of the UK's health system. John Lennon initially got a visa in 1971 to find Yoko Ono's child who was kidnapped by her estranged father and then decided to stay because he loved NYC. Do you even know that he never attained US citizenship? He was a resident alien with a green card. Lennon's killer was an evangelical Christian....doesn't sound like liberalism killed him, seems like a psychotic religious zealot killed him.

Paladin77; every government that has gone-gone has let its people down (hum, or not) … no matter which way they went. As evidence, we only have the ones left therefore … If you think what is happening on Wall Street, housing, with the banks and insurance companies and the USG (today) is an admirable form of Capitalism … especially to be expanding it around the world … well we have a differing opinion of capitalism is all. Anyone foolish enough to “try” and pin this mess on one side or the other … is!
