Greetings people of the Stardock forums. I and others from the DoV Mod Team will be hosting a Battlefield 3 server and you are all invited to play there! The server will be up on day one and should be a decent amount of fun. So if you’re looking forward to BF3 and want a cool community of good hearted renegades to play with, this is the server for you. Or not, whatever.

October Station will primarily be a Conquest server running every available map. In the weeks after release I'll include a more detailed list of what we're running that may or may not include Rush depending on how fun it turns out to be. 

Settings will be Vanilla for at least the first month and may likewise be altered depending on our impressions.

Server appears to be up, but 0/64 on.  I try again later.  Just searched by Server Name in the browser.

I'm game for whatever (OMGpacov if you want to add me).  That said, I don't think you can just setup your own server.

The game server machines themselves will be run by a number of Ranked Server Provider (RSP) companies. We do not allow other companies to run game servers, or for other people to run game servers from home.
We try to strike a balance where there are game servers available across the globe, while still keeping the number of RSPs at a level where we can offer reasonable support to each individual company. Since we prefer to work with larger hosting companies, and we focus on countries where we have a larger player base, there will not be game servers available in every country on the planet.
The list of RSPs which will run BF3 game servers at launch is not ready yet. Once it is, we will publilalalala wide

So it sounds like you have pay someone for a server even if you have the hardware - maybe I'm wrong...

It will be a few months before I get a computer than can run BF3 to it's true potential. Still plying away on BF2: Project Reality Mod until then. :-P

Can you be a little more specific?  I'm in EST.  I checked at 8PM EST and there was no one.  Guess I'll check again later on.

I assume he means CST because the server is in Chicago, but I could be wrong. :)

Island Dog- so I am guessing us putting a server up is out of the question due to the fact that Brad will be making one? :maybe:
