Investment in this branch reveals the location of major cities throughout the lands for fractions you have encountered

• Cartography 1 - You can see the location of all cities of size 3+ for a selected race/fraction that you have encountered
• Cartography 2 - You can see the location of all cities of size 3+ for an addtional selected race/fraction you have encountered
• Cartography 3 - You can see the location of all cities of size 3+ for an additional selected race/fraction you have encountere

Branch Two - Espionage

Investment in this branch builds a spy network that allows you access to information about the other fractions research achievements

• Espionage 1 - Provides intelligence (a report) about the research successes for a selected race/fraction you have encountered
• Espionage 2 - Provides intelligence about the research successed for an additional selected race fraction you have encountered
• Espionage 3 - Provides intelligence about the research successed for an additional selected race fraction you have encountered

Branch Three - Counter Intelligence

Investment in this branch counters the spys that are operating within your territory. Each tech level in this area prevents further updates to intelligence reports and cartography on your fraction by a selected fraction.

• Counter Intelligence 1 - Counters the espionage efforts of a selected fraction's espionage actions against your fraction.
• Counter Intelligence 2 - Counters the espionage efforts of an additional selected fraction's espionage actions against your fraction.
• Counter Intelligence 3 - Counters the espionage efforts of an additional selected fraction's espionage actions against your fraction.
