Graphics problem

No Stars??

I have this persistent problems when playing custom maps I have created that when i zoom ALL THE WAY out I can't see any of the other stars in the cluster that i should see for future navigation. I am stuck waving my mouse cursor around hoping to get a hit and see the star info window pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen. Is there a graphics setting i have to change in order to fix this problem, i am currently playing the game with the Vasari voice mod but it was doing this even before i set the voice mod.

Someone help me pls because atm i am stuck in my own system, unable to branch out and even when i try to find the location on a star, even by tracking the reverse trajectory of a AI superweapon round I can't see it. Usually the other Star, ("Solar system") has the typical spiral "cloudy"  formation as a Galaxy would if viewing from a distance, or just a plain low res stillform star graphic.

As well i have tried other maps, it is only the custom made maps that do this, I do not know why they do this, but for some reason I think it has to do with V1.32 of Trinity

Although I'm not sure about the bug, one marginal workaround would be to first colonize or have a stationary scout in all planets in your home system, and then to research cross-star travel, and then to put a few scouts in the star's gravity well and put them on Explore. They will start exploring other star systems - hold down Alt to see their projected travel lines while zooming out. This should let you pinpoint exactly where the other stars are even if you can't see them clearly for whatever reason.
