Hi I did a fresh re-install of my Gateway win 7 64bit Home Premium

It never did asked me for my serial Number and yet it says it's activated (when I did a re-install over a year ago it asked for it)

so this time when it did not ask for it, I re-re-Installed and it still didn't ask for my S#

 

does anyone know why? did it install right?  here is a screen shot I blurred some stuff out just in case it is need to know only for me

can I ask a Dumb question ? to late I am ha ha

 

why did it ask for the S# the first time I re-installed over a year ago? Note to make sure you know what I am asking Not when I first got the PC But when I did a re-install ...

I could be mistaking but I thing the 1st time I did a re-install I could have sworn I did it from inside windows you know? like going to the start menu and opening up the folder for gateway..

 

this time I had to turn off the PC and hit F8 to get to the safe mode screen not safe mode  then click on something like oh I can remember what it says basically

reinstall the operating system ...  Oh and the First time over a year ago (Re-installing) when Windows started up it asked me to make those back up disk .. this time it didn't
