Sins merchandiise

Sins merchandiise

Ironclad,

Just a suggestion, you guys should see about meeting up with a good quality diecast model manufacturer and consider selling Diecast models of the ships from SoASE, You could sell them for $15 bucks from the Sins store so I could play......I mean collect them.

I can't charge you, or anyone, for that matter.

I do it for fun and to see the results.

If the result turns out well, I'm willing to take requests.

-edit-

I can do it until the school year starts. (August 28 or somewhere around there.)

Print complete.

I am proceeding to clear away raft and spacers.

It looks nice, but a bit too difficult to paint on until I sand and smooth it.

I shall take a picture at some point.

The Makerbot decided to print the Magnetize-EMP Bomb gun as spacer, so I removed it on accident. Oops.

No gun.

Hmmm.

How does one take a picture using a built-in webcam?

I have an HP Touchsmart computer.

I'm sure that this is a stupid question.

It has something to do with the webcam; the software on my now-bricked HP had a function wherein the webcam could take a snapshot.

Note that the quality is quite horrendous when compared to an actual camera.

I guess I am stuck using a camera at home.

What? No Cam phone...

Nope, no phone at all.

I guess that I am the weirdest teenager ever.

Surely you have a digital camera.

Well, could use the web cam to take shots of your subject, unless that is not suitable too.

Don't know how.

Might not have driver.

Click on the windows icon and search for video web camera in your list of programs and go from there...

I would like to take this moment and jump in with a request:

Skirantra Carrier

A single Bomber and two Fighters scaled against the Carrier would be awesome!!!!

I will cover the cost of packaging, shipping and handling as requested. I can also cover the cost of snack foods for this project as requested also!

Paint Scheme Ideas?

About SINS merchandise in general, you know what I've been looking for but cannot find?

Iron-on patches.

I just got a messenger bag for college and all its missing is the SINS logo and/or a capital ship on it.
These things would be pretty easy to make and manufacture, I'd imagine. You know the only real stuff I have beyond the game is window paint on the back of my Chevy Trailblazer that says "My other truck is a MARZA DREADNAUGHT!"

And I'd totally buy at least one capital ship model if you guys made them.
And a Space Pony plushie, trying to get the girlfriend into it.

Wow, the resolution looks awful.

I don't meant to disappoint, but the ship is only 2.5 inches long. It took 2.5 hours to create over 70 layers of ~.5 mm ABS plastic.

I can make it longer, by cutting the ship in half and then gluing the resulting pieces, but this would take forever.

The Makerbot has a size limit of 10 cm x 10 cm, but it's really actually 8 cm x 9.5 cm because of the screws that keep the heat plate in place.

What is the resolution per layer? At work I use a few different machines with different resolutions and capabilities so I am curious ...

I'm not quite sure what you mean by resolution, but it's pretty bad compared to the enormous prototype engine that the Engineering department has out here...

Pixels per Inch is one way I have heard it described. Another, based on the method of the prototyper (in this case one that lays down a bead of plastic) would be ±.015" as an example.
