Thirty One Genuine Heroes Lost

Helicopter Crash in Afghanistan

I'm very sad to report this.

These men were genuine heroes, twenty five of them from DevGru (though none from the men who ended Bin Laden), all Naval Commandos.

There are no confirmed reports as to the reason. There are speculations about Taliban fire.

These men were on the way to help other American troops pinned down by hostile fire.

Please offer a prayer of thanks for Americans like these. and for their families.

While you're at it, please remember all our servicemen and women with a prayer for their welfare.

My thanks.

I hope they bring these boys home soon before we lose even one more. -_-

Coming home doesn't necessarily eliminate the dangers.....

"In June 1996, 18 soldiers died when two Black Hawk helicopters collided during a night-time anti-terrorist exercise near Townsville, Queensland.

Of the dead, 15 were from the elite Special Air Service regiment.

It remains the worst peacetime loss of life for the Australian Defence Force.

At the time, the two helicopters were among six flying in formation carrying 68 men."

Special Forces tend to be exposed/expose themselves to 'risk'.

"The deaths of three Australian commandos in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan yesterday took the number of Australian defence personnel killed in helicopter crashes to 34 in the past 18 years." - That 'yeasterday' was June 21, 2010.

We're all losing too many....too young.

The pathetic part is that these incidents will get so little Media coverage compared to some doped up singer who offed them-self overdosing.

For the 31 US Special Forces and 7 Afghan Commandos who lost their lives in a helicopter crash ♥♥♥♥
