Bomb(s) go off in the center of Oslo near government buildings, killing at least two people and injuring several others, shooting ongoing in small Utoya island hosting a youth summer camp (!!!). Several people shot, reported fatalities.

I am not a gun advocate and that statement is incorrect. I can see you have a passion for this topic but that not a factual statement.

Okay, it's not factual.... wasn't supposed to be.  The point was that while there maybe be responsible people with guns, there's people who should never have them... and if taking away the right to bear arms means taking it away from 'responsible gun owners as well as the nut jobs, then so be it.  The right to LIFE comes before any so-called right to carry a gun.

Not insulting anyone... when 'responsible' society demands the right to bear arms, it demands the same right for those nut jobs who go on murderous shooting sprees as well.  So yes, every pro-gunner indirectly puts the gun in the hands of the lunatic mass murderer as well.  If anyone is offended/insulted by this truth, then tough titties, I cannot, will not apologise for conveying it.

Sadly, the US Government doesn't implement gun control because it doesn't have the balls and fears voter backlash... and voters won't give up their guns because they live in gun dependent society that's gripped in fear... so glad I live someplace else, where I can enjoy real freedom [from fear].

A gun debate has no place (or relavance) in this thread. The right to bear arms is not in the Norwegian constitutuion nor do police officers carry weapons. Perhaps starting a new thread about the subject would be advised.

just finished an ABC report update..... he was certainly very good at keeping under the radar.... such planning... seems there was little opportunity for alarm bells to go off so it could have been prevented.... :-|
