Hello Stardock/Ironclad

 

Can you guys release some more information about sins rebellion please. I don't care what it is, it can be a snippet of a pic of the arse end of a titan for all I care, but I just find it highly disappointing that some of the other games I am following (Sword of the stars 2, Witcher 2) are constantly releasing new information every 1-2 weeks, while every time I check up on this game I am hugely let down. Please don't get me wrong, don't rush the game or anything, just keeping the fans in the dark for months on end is extremely frustrating on our end, and very unprofessional on your end:P Take Ubisofts upcoming game Heroes of Might and Magic 6 for example, they have been highly involved with their community from the very first announcement of the game and have even had a 'pic-of-the-day' thread on their forums where each day they released a new pic from the upcoming game, thus giving us fans many interesting points of discussion and giving them valuable feedback on the game and its direction. I hope this is not all too much to ask, but the lack of interaction is really becoming too much to take.

Don't feel pressured by eager fans to rush Rebellion out the door.  Take all the time you need so that it's perfect.

Har-har.  No beta for quite some time yet; we're just working on many updates and they are taking far longer than anticipated (much as v1.3 has).

I laugh when fans act like game developers have to work on their time. It's like what's been going on with the Guild Wars 2 development. People act like developers are purposefully withholding the game, only to watch their fans squirm or whatever. Guys, game development takes time, and lot of the time, that development is unpredictable. Something that looks like it could take a week can end up taking months, and that's nobody's fault. Besides, it's not like Iron/Dock's been working on Rebellion for all that long..remember when Blizzard suddenly started releasing all that info on Starcraft 2? That's because it had been in development since the release of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne back in 2004, so none of it was actually "new". 

So stop badgering and whining at the developers like they owe you or something. Without them there'd be no Sins. So give them the respect they deserve.

We're asking for updates/teasers, not a rush to completion.  I think it's completely fair to ask for that.  They have no obligation to give it, but it's fair to ask.  I laugh when people enter threads and post just to say how dumb they think the thread is.  :typo:

I didn't get that impression at all from this thread. Maybe it's true on the guild wars 2 boards but to me it seems like fans just looking for more information because they are excited about the new expansion here. Besides, interest in the game is a good thing.
