MyColors on multiple user accounts

Forgive me if this has been posted before (I wasn't sure what terms to search), and if it has, feel free to point me in the right direction. :)

My husband and I currently share a netbook with Windows 7 Starter, and he downloaded MyColors as a workaround for the inability to change the theme/wallpaper. MyColors works fine on his account, but when I run it on mine, it doesn't change anything. I'm able to run the program after typing in the admin password, and can change the theme of his account through mine, but I want to be able to use it also! :s Is there a way to make this work for multiple Windows users?

I have XP, but I believe this issue is the same on Win7.  MyColors will only load a suite on users with administrative privileges.  I.e., if a computer has 2 Admin users and 2 limited users, both Admin users will be able to load a suite but neither limited user will.

I "load a theme" on the limited users by loading each piece individually using their respective apps.  Windowblinds to load the WB skin, IconPackager to load the icons, double-clicking the gadgets directly to run them.  From your post I'm thinking that you probably don't have the individual apps though.

On a side note, some icons will carry down from the admin user to the limited user, or cross over between the admin users.  These are only a few specific individual icons showing in the start menu which I suspect require admin rights to change, I'm thinking maybe Internet Explorer, Recycle Bin and maybe a couple of others but not sure.

Also, as far as I know none of the MyColors themes have been updated to include a Win7 specific version, and as far as I know there are no plans to do that, so you may see some peculiarities there.

I hope this clarifies things for you although I suspect it wasn't quite what you were hoping.

Install it on your "account" also. That should fix it.

You do mean two seperate logins , right?
