e cigarette has anyone tried it?

e cigarette has anyone tried it?

My mother bought me an e cigarette last week, for  an early bday present, and i bought tobacco juice for it in china,

well today i read in the paper that customs are now siezing tobacco liqued for our ecigs,  (because it contains.....wow, guess what? TOBACCO)HA.

so instead i decided to look into non nicotine juice for my ecig and found some good ones i will be ordering next payday from here in aus. paying only 30 bucks instead of the amount i normally shell out for cigs, around 90bucks a fortnight. so im saving 60.

anyway, with this non nic, im hoping to still get the hit i want without the chemicals ect involved with smoking. and I think I will.

has anyone tried the ecig and what do they think.

so far ive heard nothing but rave reviews so i cant wait to vape instead of puff

It did not quote properly some asked about odors and breath and stuff.

No No and No some people have reported a very sweet smell and it also depends on the flavor I have had people say when I am smoking strawberry that they smell strawberry so there is no offensive smell

And all I am doing is asking the people who said stay smoking the cancer sticks to get educated please .  We at the ECF fight for the right to choose ecigs or cancer sticks and every person we can convert to ecigs is another life saved.

I don't think anybody said "stay smoking the cancer sticks."  I think we would like all of our members to be nicotine-free, as we've already lost, and continue to mourn the loss, of one of our previous beloved members. (RIP, Angus).

But what are the chemicals involved with the e cig.  Why not just "woman" up and quit?
End of natas2's quote

The chemicals? Propelyne glycol, distilled water, nicotine as an option have you ever been to a concert or a bar that has had a smoke machine in the room becasue that is the chemical that binds the water, flavouring and the nicotine together it is harmless. A cigarette Contains 4000+ deadly chemicals you choose which is better? And some have a Vegtable Glycerin as the binding agent which is even less harmless then the Propylene Glycol.

you might as well smoke the real tobacco..

e-cigarettes, has shown that they contain cancer-causing chemicals and other toxins, including a compound used in antifreeze, U.S. health officials said Wednesday.

here's the full scoop

oh and I see most of the E cig is made in China   LEAD anyone?

In addition to the testing, the FDA said it has been examining and detaining shipments of e-cigarettes at the border. So far, 50 shipments have been seized, according to Michael Levy, division director of the Office of Compliance at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
End of DisturbedComputer's quote

Dude this as far as I know was a one time incident as far as I know and was only from one company but the chemical was DEG and it has been banned from nic juice but even still the levels that were there would not have done near as much harm as the 4000+ deadly chemicals in a real cigarette don't keep smoking start vaping and beat the smoking ban and beat the taxes.

Tried a few and I can tell ya...the E cigarettes are a waste of money. The batteries run down to fast...and you will blow a lung out trying to get a draw like you would on a real cigarette...in which case you'll die of a collapsed lung. When they actually work...which is for a very short time the work great...but I wouldn't buy one ever again.

You got a bum unit or you got one of the disposable unit's I suggest you get a better unit from bestecig.com or come on over to the ECF and find other sites where you can order a good unit. This is the best invention of the century and I am breathing better already my taste buds are healed and I feel great from here it will only get better.

For some of us swapping one addiction for possibly another is just not the answer.

Just stop smoking, lots of folks do it without having any adverse side effects.  I did, and I am not saying it is easy to do.  I do know that the longer you wait the harder it is to do.

This is not for people who want to quit smoking to clarify that this is for people who want to stay smoking but do it in a healthy way.

Now you could use it to quit with no problems if you can get the nicotine fluid then you use it just like nicorette start with 24 mg nicotine then reduce down to 0 nicotine and then you can just vape for flavor.Once again I will say this is not really for quitting smoking it is for quitting the real cancer sticks and to stay smoking and get healthy at the same time I feel great after 16 days my counter is wrong I will have to change lol

Also I don;t now how you could say that becasue to swap the real thing for this will save your life how could you not want to swap your not swapping addictions your going from smoking 4000+ chemicals to smoking 3 or 4 c'mon seriously and also you are going to save a ton of money I tottaly disagree with you the momment I found out I could get nicotine fluid I swapped for it and I am so glad I did man do I feel good and I get to smoke still it's awsome

for some reason instead of it editing it quoted but I wanted to add as for the just quit statement I have literlly spent thousands of dollars trying to quit smoking and have never succedded until the e cig laser treatments hypnosis nicorette products and for a whole 150 dollars I have finally quit and I  get to still smoke.

AN the unit paid for it self in no time here is the real counter showing how much I have saved it deducts what I have spent and what I have saved.:)

Congratulations on exchanging a deadly habit for a less deadly habit, but you haven't quit the habit -- you're still addicted to nicotine; you've just changed the method of getting the substance into your system.

I'm not going to harp on you for continuing with the addiction, because I feel in a free world, adults should be able to do whatever they want to their own body as long as it doesn't drift over to someone else (as in second-hand smoke).  But don't kid yourself into thinking you've QUIT.  QUITTING means you don't spend any money on nicotine, ever, and you don't consume any nicotine in any shape or form.

Also--just my opinion, when I'm looking for success stories, I expect the person to be free of the substance for longer than 14-20 days, or whatever.  Talk to me at your one year mark.

Gate420............  which maker do you freakin work for?!?!?!?! Blue? Joy? lmao Relax. No one is trying to beat anybody up here.

I'm getting ready to head out to a place here that sells nothing but e-cigarettes. I'm afraid if I don't get off the real ones now, tomorrow will be to late. It's gotten that bad for me. At this point, I would smoke monkey-shit wrapped in maxi-pads if it could get me off cigarettes.

Vamp--- lotsa luck. You sound like a heavy smoker (like me...5 with my first cup of coffee) You inspired me. I hope I have a good a start as you're having. ;)

well, suprisingly enough today i recieved my juice from china, and im very satisfied with it, but im still eager to try the australian brand.

im getting the hit of a cigarette, and its rather pleasant to draw on.

its a touch heavy to hold, but that is something i will get used to i guess, im going to buy another egic down the track to compare.

the only thing that is missing, is ashing, rolling ( i do find this weird not rolling) and the smoke floating around the room, this vapour disappears asap, which is a good thing for others.)

but i will get used to this in time, and save myself a FORTUNE.

If you want a reason to quit besides the obvious health reasons, think of the money you could save.

I was a 2 pack a day smoker when I quit 8 years ago. When I quit they were around $3.00 a pack and now they are around $5.00.

By my figures I saved about $25,000.00 on the smokes and a hell of a lot more on medical bills.

well, i used express postage and it took about a week from china, and those juices are tobacco flaved high juice, i get a good hit out of

them, im also waiting for an aussie juice to reach me, im guessing tomorrow they will arrive.

i love smoking, i never want to quit, this isnt a quitting thing, that wont happen, this is just to change over to a smoke that is way healthier and cheaper, and to be frank it was money that motivated me more than health.

When i was smoking my 60 a day, i felt extremely light headed when i would go to bed around 1 or 2 am.  and my internal body just felt dry and full of smoke...(cant explain it any other way) and i knew these signs were my body screaming at me to stop or cut down, but i just couldnt.

Niccotine is my drug and i love it, and i dont want to stop, im too uncontrollable emotionally and mentally to even go without even ONE cig for HALF AN HOUR!  thats like taking the dummy from the baby, its that bad for me.

but now, i just cant believe the difference, at first, it was strange, but the more you use the ecig, the quicker you adapt and prefer it over a real cig.

I still smoke real cigs, today ive only had 5. and its now 4.47pm, thats a huge difference, and from tomorrow, i wont have any real cigs left,

but im not even panicked about this, im more than happy to vape my way throught this week and a half until next pay day, and then i will able to decide if i even feel like buying a packet of tobacco.

but i wont lie, i suck on my e cig ALL DAY, cause i love smoking that much and need my hit often.

my battery lasts me at least 12 hours, i charge it during the night so the next day my baby is ready to rock with me all day.

i check my liqued in the morning, this morning i added 6 drops as it was starting to get dry at the bottom of the filter, but normally i only use

about 4 drops a day, and i have a 50ml bottle, so i can see that lasting me for a few months yet,

po, thanks babe, most of that info i wrote above was for you....... just so you get an idea. good luck matee, but i dont think you will need it.

just make sure your tobacco liqued strength is high to start off with, then you get the hit ect, and can experiment with other brands till you find what you like ect.

some side notes i thought i should mention,

when wolfee has left here to go back to his place, i can smell his smoke, and it stinks to me, (now that is a first for me, before i couldnt even

smell the smoke)

even when i do light a real cigarette, (because i felt like one) i just dont feel the same, i actually prefer my ecig.

you really need to make an effort to use the ecig more than smoking cigs to get used to it, and for the habbit to form. I think it took me

2 days to get used to it, and one more day to say i preffered the e cig more. (but i continually made myself pick up the ecig instead of

rolling a cig)

but i loved using the ecig right off the bat, it is very cool to use, your inhaling and exhaling what looks like smoke, its very cool! its just the

getting used to it thats a little different.

your atomizer will get a little hot if you constantly puff of it like i do. just set it down for about a minute, then your right to go.

check your fluid morning and afternoon if your using e liqued.  you can normally taste it if the liqued is getting low anyways, it will start to taste

different.

hope this helps xxx

Bought one Saturday.

Took it on the road with me when I left on Monday and just got home tonight.

Bought some 'coffee' flavored cartridges.

So, I know it's not a big deal, but..I smoke 2 to 2 1/2 packs a day (Marlboro 72's). Since Sunday, I have only bought 2 packs and still have half the second pack left. After 35 years of smoking, I'll call this a good start.
