Yes, me too.... and while today's actresses have some class and ability, they most often fail to bring a presence to the screen like Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and others of that bygone era. Gone are the days when such ladies of the silver scree could bring a role to life with such grace and style, and without the need of special effects, makeup that looks like it was applied with a trowel, and plastic surgery to put bumps where they weren't before, and lumps away because they didn't like them.
One of my fav'rite actresses these days is Kathy Bates... she's not young or exceedingly beautiful, but she has aged gracefully and has a captivating on-screen presence that demands your attention, because she is great at what she does.
