empty folder after downloading and unzipping any file

Hi,

Any file I try to download goes into temp internet files and when I try to unzip them they are empty folders.  I haven't been able to successfully "unzip" any files now that are not just "empty" folders.  Is there any other way to get these files on my computer with the content in tact????

Exactly what are you downloading and from where?

I tried downloading icon packs, wallpaper, docklets and object dock backgrounds so far from wincustomize and all the folders unzip to be empty.  When downloading, I click on the download button on the creators page, can't right click and select "save target as" so I'm at a loss.  I'm running on Vista if that helps.

What zip utility are you using to unzip the files? And as far as the dock backgrounds...if your downloading mine I know the files are in there since I double check...so it's my "guess" that it might have something to do with the zip utility your using.

Are you using a download manager?  If so, try turning it off and downloading and see what happens.

Instead of saving them to the temp folder or selecting "Open" from the download dialog, save them somewhere else, and make sure you are selecting "Save".  I have found that the temp folder in Vista is cleared too often for my liking, and isn't a useful working folder.

Vista has a download folder. Save them there, Its much easier.
