Not enougn disk space to install????

I'm trying to install EU3 In Nomine but i keep getting the error message 'there was a problem while retrieving your free-space information. You may need to choose a different install or temporary files directory'.
The game only needs 114Mb and I have 45.5 Gb left on my drive so i'm not sure what to do. I even changed the temp folder to my expansion drive which has 745 Gb free on it and it didn't help at all.

The base game or expansion?

If expansion:

Impulse/ Upper left corner dropdown menu/ Detect Application. Point to non-Impulse base install folder.

So the problem is caused when you have a non-impulse base game and you want to install an Impulse expansion??
