Can I combine Logicsequence Hi res mod w/ KHSM-TA mod?

Can I use both of these mods at once by chance? Is it just a matter of putting one of the mods "inside" the folder of the other mod? The options screen seems to only allow me to pick one mod to use, so I can't select both.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hmm, what does it mean "1 Referral?"

I've been checking this thread every few hours... when I noticed the "1 Referral" link.

I clicked the link for it, sends me to a Yahoo search "results" page with a bunch of unrelated stuff.

You'd have to combine them into the same mod folder, but it shouldn't be difficult at all since IIRC my mod uses unique filenames.

Referrals are pages that someone followed a link from to here.

Thanks for answering, much appreciated! I guess the real question is, what folder from which mod do I put where? Unless someone knows, I guess I'll just use trial and error for now.

Ah, I think I can see what I need to do now. Hadn't actually looked inside the respective mod folders, and I see that they contain the same folders and such. So basically I need to merge the files from one mod into the folders for the other.

Edit: Which I guess is exactly what you said. Heh, call me Einstein...

Edit 2: Did this and it worked. Woot!

For anyone interested...

  • I installed the KHSM-TA mod exactly as the readme.txt said (including running the batch file)
  • I then copied your folders from 'KHSM-TA' over the top of the same folders in 'High Resolution Graphics Mod v2.' This prompted a bunch of windows confirming that I wanted to Merge folders. I accepted. You do not need to run the batch file again.
  • The only conflict with a file having the same filename was 'modDescription.xml,' so I just added a suffix to the .xml description for KHSM-TA (ModDescription (KHSM-TA).xml). I left the other one the same, so that it continues to indicate in the "Mods" screen that I'm using the Hi-Res mod, and uses the description for it (I could also have done this vice versa).
  • After doing these things, you can delete the Folder for KHSM-TA if you like (or keep it for a backup if you want), since all of its data is now inside the other mod.

Edit 3: AWESOME ship design stuff in here, kryo. Thanks a million for making this!  :karma:

I made a seperate folder under the mods folder, and just copied all the contents in for both mods... works fine.
