Hi all!

Yesterday i've updated my logitech setpoint driver (from 4.x to 6.20.50 - latest one)

after that i've a problem with stopped animated on my desktop - when double click on logitech tray icon,

and when i saw logitech setpoint window my deskscapes stop working - animated pulpit is like a paused.

Then i must right click on desktop, go to configure deskscapes, and set dream again...

Do u have any ideas why i have this problem? and how to fix it?

In external link i've recorded sample of my problem.

Best Regards!

I just tested this on my PC and I don't have any issue like yours.  I am running DeskScapes v3.25 with Logitech SetPoint 6.20.64.

of course latest one is 6.20.64 (but in logitech sotfware show me 6.20.50 version?????????? never mind )

I've just reinstalled my display driver (ATI 5770-catalyst 10.12, now i used 10.11) deskscapes, also impulse and logitech setpoint...

and i have still the problem...

any ideas, what kind of display card do u have? ATI? Nvidia?

I write what kind of hardware stuff i have:

Core2Duo E8400, main board Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, ATI 5770 1GB, WiFi card ASUS WL-138g v2, SB X-Fi Game Fatality PRO Edition,

WinFast DTV2000 H Plus, Logitech S520 Keyboard & Mouse, Webcam Logitech HD C510, UPS APC, Printer Canon PIXMA MP550.

I used Windows 7 x64, ESET NOD32 Antivirus (4.2.67.10), ATI/AMD Catalyst 10.11, Logitech SetPoint 6.20.64, Logitech HD Webcam software 2.10,

APC UPS Personal Solution Pac 2.61, SB X-Fi Game Fatality PRO Edition Driver ver 2.18.15, WinFast DTV2000 H Plus PVR software ver 2.0.3.33.

I also use iZ3D Driver 1.12 (stereoscopic driver for games but actually is turned off), logmein software 4.1.0

what program (drivers) bring on this problem?

I'm not seeing it either....Deskcapes 3.25 w/ Setpoint v5.42.34 driver 5.20.51

End of quote

I downloaded/installed the 6.20.64 package. Check the Control Panel > Programs and Features to see the installation version.

The "SetPoint Options" displayed version is device dependent. I use a G9 laser so it installs the appropriate driver/setpoint version.

If it's only started the problem since updating the Logitech drivers I suggest you roll back to the previous version.

Logitech used to make great hardware, but these days all their mice, even the high cost ones, seem to come with low end micro switches that begin to fail after roughly one year, turning left button single clicks into double clicks. Their software, on the other hand, has always sucked, and it has a nasty habit of interfering with 3rd party software.

Setpoint, for instance, hooks into every process (why would a %##"@ mouse driver need to do that?!) and then has a nasty habit of sending WM_PAINT messages to 3rd party windows, even layered windows (this can make them to go blank and stop updating unless the WM_PAINT message is caught and 'eaten' first).

I've had my mediaplay mouse for like 5 years, never had a problem with it. I was using SetPoint 4.x and it always said I was up to date, had no idea it was so far behind.
