I know but i had problems with the game and decided to do a reinstall (some corrupt files)

but i fixed it just had to do this 

click the blue menu icon top left - Click Preferences - click Reset Data - allow iumpulse to update - (restart impulse mayhap) file sixe is corrected in size)

It should show up on Impulse.  Look for a little yellow "!" on your Elemental icon. 

 

I'm having trouble getting it to run, though.  I get a "failed to download date file" error when I start the game, even though I do have an internet connection.  I tried disabling my AV firewall but that didn't help.

The solution was simple: I never realized that, unlike Steam, Impulse doesn't log you in automatically. So all I needed to do was to log in ('change log-in' on the top left preferences icon - I think it should read 'log-in') and the game started just fine.

Nah, didn't work for me. I'm signed in, no fire wall etc. still nada. I can't believe I'm jonesin' for this fracking patch :fuzzy:

 

HA! got it! I have no clue wtf I did but it works and looks AWESOME!

I don't see a little yellow "I" or anything. I went to Impulse and hit update and nothing either. I don't see anything what am I doing wrong here?

The monsters are a lot nastier now, you do NOT want to leave cities undefended.

Ok, I don't leave my cities undefended--ever except in the beginning and then I build one as soon as I am able; but once I establish a perimeter I defend the borders strongly but the interior with lesser units(usually monsters do not spawn in controlled territory)--generally 1-2 depending where I am in the game. I noticed in 1.9 my city that was defended a peasant or observer would face a stronger unit. I just knew I was outmatched so I auto-resolved and hoped for the best. Turns out there was never a resolution. My unit & city survived.

I suppose I will find out but--- I am wondering if I might be attacked based on the quality and quantity of units present.

 

Yup--you have to, as my wife would say--"oh you mean defend-defend" You have the wrong combo of units in a city and a monster that spawns outside of your territory makes a fracking b-line toward your city--and you are potential toastI haven't lost one but I lost some decent units.....nice! game is more challenging.

Ok I got it very cool and it seems more responsive and I love the changes but must go to sleep:zzz:
