Aye ...... I didn't serve  but my older brother did. Enlisted in the Marines 1962. Sent to Viet Nam 18 months later. On the front page of the Daily News 1965 when the Marines landed in Da Nang there is a picture of a young and very green Marine in full combat gear. My brother. his name is Billy and he came home in one piece. Thankfully without all that nonsense that has plagued so many vets. When he saw the news reports about Viet Nam years later he was more than a little pissed. He fought and this country lost. That hurt when he found out why. It wasn't enough that returning vets were shit on by the people but to be ostracized by the very people who put that gun in your hand and sent 'you' over there to kill people ... for them. In 1995 the U.S. government admitted publicly that going into Viet Nam was a mistake. That mistake, interfering in something that was none of our business to begin with got a lot of our guys and gals killed. My brother sat down and cried.
