Happy Medium Between Flyout Menus and Tabs

I can't get ObjectDock Plus to do what I'm thinking of

Hey guys,

Just bought Objectdock plus yesterday, after being a long time user of the standard edition. I have a lot of programs I wanted to add to my dock, so it seemed natural to use either tabs or flyout menus. This is all well and good, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for...

My first attempt was to use tabs. This went rather well, but what was a bit irksome was the fact that the text is displayed below the tabs, instead of within the dock. The icons don't zoom out, either. This is a bit annoying because I'm used to having the dock on the top of my screen and reading the text immediately below the icons for the names; the programs I don't use as often as others (e.g. my "Nero Suite" tab has all the programs in it instead of simply StartSmart) take a bit longer to figure out.

After making a fully tabbed dock and not getting the results I was looking for, I tried making a Flyout Menu. This was also a bit of a painstaking process on account of the fact that I had to copy the icons into a new set of folders, but I was willing to make it work. Flyout menus seem to work well in cases of extremely large numbers of sub-icons, but the icons are rather small when only dealing with a handful. I was unable to determine how to enlarge the icons, nor was I able to figure out how to get all icons to display at once instead of the carousel style.

For the moment, I've decided to switch back to my original dock. To sum up, here are the questions I'm looking for:

-In tabs mode, is it possible to have the icon names above the tabs when the dock is at the top of the screen?

-In tabs mode, is it possible to have the tabs switch when hovered?

-In tabs mode, is it possible for the icons to zoom?

-In flyout mode, is it possible to have the sub-icons larger?

-In flyout mode, is it possible to have all sub-icons displayed at once instead of the carousel?

Finally, in either mode, is it possible to save the dock config?

Thanks!

Joey

not that I'm aware of

yes, under "Accessibility"

-In tabs mode, is it possible for the icons to zoom?

yes but not to the extent that a Zoomer dock does.....use grow under "Effect"

you may be able to accomplish that using "Stacks Docklet" HERE

Thanks for the answers, dude. A few follow-ups:

-I can't find the 'accessibility' option in Object dock. Are you referring to the Windows setting that will globally affect my system, or something else?

-Is there/will there be a means of making the 'grow' effect a bit more pronounced than it is?

-The 'stacks' docklet seems to be the closest, but doesn't allow for custom arrangement of icons.

 Thanks again!

Not to my knowledge but you could always add it to the wish list.

I believe (but I may be wrong) that Jeff is looking to add some functionality similar to the Dell Dock which sounds more in line with what you want.
