I would gladly take a 1.8 patch over a 1.08 patch. :P

How about making the world less barren and dull? Some more exciting magic? Make not taking every magic school mean something. Force magic specialization. Make the different civs actually different instead of good "White people" and bad "dark people"

your dark people comment reminds me of this pieve by george carlin

I jsut noticed that two, I wish they had more races as well, 10 sets off humans is not that diverse. atleast with civilization asians, europenas and mesoamercians atleast had different looking cities.

I don't think I was crashing as much in 1.06 as 1.07, but then, I might not've played all that much of 1.06

o.O sigh

Where's 1.08!  I WANT IT NAO ;)

I think they need to get rid of the magic. also, make it sci-fi. and then restrict one's actions to only three people for any quest. it will help to make the quest linear and simplify the leveling up so we don't have to make as many choices too. finally, remove the diversity of items and enemies and make it a 3rd person shooter. oh, and then spend way to much advertising it.

This was all added in version 1.00 O:)

Just fix it so the computer challenges me. My 2nd game I was the lone kingdom against 5 empires and owned them on the most difficult setting.

Don`t worry, when Brad comes from vacation, he will make some powerful AI, that you will be screaming: "How the hell can i unpatch this game!".

My wish list:

  • Continue reducing memory leaks.
  • Shards working as intended.
  • built-in faction builder (is this already in? Can't find it.)
  • Interface! Too many issues to detail, but I'm sure you guys have a master list somewhere. It's time to look at it.
  • Additional champion abilities. The winning strat is recruitment, and diversity is nice. (I may just not be leveling up my adventure tree enough, not sure)

I know there are a ton of bugfixes still required, these are just my top 5 issues right now. Hooray for multi-troop units healing in 1.07! I didn't even know that was the plan all along! This was a biggie for me.

They should nerf the AI a little bit, cause it's really hard right now, predicting my every move, making optimal use of resources and terrain and dynamically changing strategies as the game progresses. Suggestions for easier AI:

+ Stacks should be consisted mainly by champions, not troops
+ Rarely utilize magic
+ Cities should be left unguarded or at least lightly guarded
+ Never use ships
+ Troops should wander aimlessly around the map
+ Sovereign should be rarely accompanied by other troops and always stationed in enemy territory
+ Never utilize terrain bonuses
+ Always attack one unit in battles, to make it easy for the player to predict combat behaviour
+ No shards. Period.
+ Build monster recruiting improvemnts but never actually use them

Seriously, i hope i find some time to actually play the 1.07 patch tommorow or at least on Sunday  .

1.8, I'm waiting for version 2.0, maybe by then the memory issues/crash bugs will finally be resolved, random maps will be implemented and the AI will be improved enough to be able play on a large map of islands.

When you kill the other side's champions, do your champions have the option to loot their magic hats and wear them?

Magic hat is rather a pet then an item. If you`re champion die, hat will die with him.  :'(
