I believe it raised the max-cap for influence borders for each level in cities.

Hmm... So 1lvl town could get 3rd level borders?

I wonder why things like this are never explained in the game...

Heh. I did small 60 turn test with Paiden.

On 13th turn borders increase to 2nd level, like with everyone else and that's it. No more increases of borders exempt if city is leveled up.

One exception: building town hall. It will project eventually 3 tile border around itself. But I think it happens with other races too.

Also, admin cost was 1.0 (town hall maintenance: -1), so no discount there either.

 

P.S.

I would love some evidence that any of these two traits actually does something in the game, now.

Does this include the very latest Icecrown mod version where he fixed some minor things in the files?

"infernal spell lacks a </SpellDefEffect>, also CoreSpells_WATER_Strategic.xml referenced an effect that wasn't included named named MakeTundraMod"

On the stab of ice/freeze enemy thing, I think(?) the difference is range.  Stab of ice is short range (2-3 tiles) but Freeze enemy is unlimited.  Emphasis on THINK.

HF107_race_Pariden.xml - Pariden faction now gets Road Warriors bonus, as well as a new ability called Advanced Farming (+10% rations)

 

This release also contains a proper fix for the Deathworship talent. See below.

HF107_item_legendaryplatecuirass.xml - This file fixes problems with both factions' versions of the legendary plate cuirass. The item was locked in to count as being used on forearms as well, preventing the use of any wrist gear. That, in turn, made the items laughable. Fixed to allow wrist gear.

HF107_item_helmsforthefallen.xml - For the fallen, Light Plate helm/Master Plate Helm/Master Heavy Plate helm; these helms would all apply an assortment of non-head-gear onto the character. I've removed all those models, so the helm now only applies a helm. This is how other helms work, and will make it easier to "design" your units.

HF107_item_medicalpack.xml - Medical Pack says it adds 1 health regen per turn in strategical combat. This isn't working, so I've changed it to apply to tactical combat instead.

HF107_race_Umber.xml - Umber faction flaw "Uneducated" wasn't functional. Fixed to affect all native cities (will NOT work for custom factions). Extra note: I had to declare a whole new set of cityhubs! Talk about a workaround.

HF107_race_Yithril.xml - Yithril faction flaw "Superstitious" wasn't functional. Fixed to affect all native cities (will NOT work for custom factions). Extra note: Another cityhub set.

HF107_abilitybonusDeathWorship.xml - Fixed Resoln faction "Death Worship". All units gain 15% health. This WILL affect custom races with the ability. Extra note: This will no longer affect custom factions using wraith race, and it will now affect predesigned units.


Known issues (from mod):
Pariden will still list "Influential" and "Civilized" faction bonuses
Balance issue: what is the point of Freeze enemy, if Stab of ice does it for less mana and also damages enemy?
Warrior Temple will display that it provides "50% faster training (bugfix: 25%)"

Also took ANOTHER pass at Grim defiance. It's definitely fixed now. I think. Also fixed discrepancy between non-icecrown and icecrown spells.

The "Stab of Ice" spell was added as the very last, just before release. I think they were trying add an attack spell to Water without making it another carbon copy of fire arrow, but doesn't Freeze have a range modifier?

Freeze Enemy has unlimited range, but no damage, and stab of ice has a range of 4...  If I was going to change this, (just off the top of my head) I would make Freeze Enemy an area effect spell.

Yeah, but it's WAY too strong for that. I was thinking about making it an AOE slow, but even that is too much (cast it a couple of times and the enemy loses his turn anyway).

Good point, unless you bumped mana cost, to say, 15, maybe?  I did say off the top of my head...

As i noticed Freeze enemy works on whole map, Stab of Ice has some limited range.

I was working on some band aid on Confusion spell here:

After I realized what went wrong (attack penalty applied "per solider").

Still, it's band aid, since it will work properly for parties, but only if they don't lose a solider.

 

P.S.

Heavenfall, how do you test changes you made. I find it pretty tedious that almost any modification I try to test I needs new game, and then to play and play...

Any shortcuts?
