blog flogged

frightlever leaves his/her mark

a few days ago, inspired by a GREAT friend and what i thought was this sort of funny 'conversation' i had with my son i sat down to blog

it was my first blog ever

i've only ever read a few blogs in my life

i was sure of a few things

1)i'd probably break some blog rules i didn't even know existed
2)it was nice to write to a large and unclear audience

it turns out it was GREAT to write for a large and unclear audience - even tho i figured it would be a small audience

i had to imagine any number of people or no people reading what i wrote - it was an exercise in self control NOT to self edit the heck out of myself - it was in so many ways - fantastic

i was inspired to blog and blog and blog

but felt way too goofy about already breaking rules - for goodness sakes i thought - i don't even know that in the world i'd put in the 'external URL' line i'm offered when starting a new blog - maybe no need to go crazy here and proove to all that i'm a blog beginner

i realized within the hour it probably wouldn't have mattered

i'd noticed that there was a recent article called something like 'is frightlever a jerk' - which i imagine i could put a link to here but i'm not entirely sure how - i didn't think much of it

THEN oh but to my eyes did appear - a REPLY to my article

it was from the famous frightlever him/herself - and commenting on my article

i was thrilled

then i read the response - something about giving up hugs 7 years ago - and encouraging my kid to think hugs are an all day affair and encouraging my kid to hug people at an interview

hmmm...odd i thought

seemed kind of passive agressive and shamy - as if to say 'hey you pathetic mom-type with your syrupy sweet little kid - get a life' but is that all my shit - i don't know

i read the 'is frightlever a jerk' blog - turns out frightlever him/herself wrote it - claims to be a straight shooter

i was temped to write a response there - say whats up with your bloggy response about hugs - what do you mean
instead put the response on my own site

what are the rules here - how do blogs work???

i'm sure i'll figure it out - sure i've lost my blogging virginity too in some sort of way

and it wasn't fun - and didn't feel good and left me pretty much confused

how the heck do you guys decide what is adult content - i mean goodness - is saying shit and talking about some metaphorical loss of your virginity adult content -

The rules are stated in the 'terms of service', there is a link at the bottom of the page. I look at my blog as mine to do with as I see fit, while commenting on others I should be nice and on topic. For adult content there is some vagueness there, I tend to flag anything that I wouldn't want a random kid to see as adult content.
The external link is for adding a link at the bottom of the page to whatever you want to link to. Stick in the web address (https://www.joeuser.com for example) and it will be a link at the bottom of the page. The two you stuck on your other blogs don't go anywhere. You don't have to have one, it's just there as an option.

Thank you Danny Bassette - I appreciate your help. I'll use your general guide as far as adult content is concerned - well- and all other comments as well. Thanks for being so clear and to the point and not at all confusing.
