Patience, patience, not much longer...!

The anticipation is killing me! Refreshing Impulse and hotmail obsessively!

I'll tell you what, though, they're really cutting it close now on a 'morning' release for us beta folk, at least on the east coast!

no worries they still have about 50 minutes till mid morning is over for them ;)

I shall invoke Murphy (actually a corollary) and now go buy a good book to read, thus when I get back viola!

Oh man...I'm so excited it's ridiculous.

A little bit funny, but tragic story of my life:   The last time I waited with as much anticipation was for MOO3...that was depressing.  I deserve to be rewarded this time!

haha

The Word "depressing" does not give with due credit just how BAD MOO3 turned out :) it was Terraboffle!

Tch! The 'morning' window for EST (where Stardock is!) beta participants has officially been missed!

Not to nitpick, I'm just excited!

The devs are usually up at 5am posting topics on the forums. Maybe they are still sleeping?

Naw, I've no doubt they're tearing their hair out over last-minute details trying to get it to we rabid fans today.

I imagine "re-tasking the IT team" as Frog put it has got to be stressful all around. Keep it up, guys!

Patience may be a virtue, but it's not one of mine.

Can't tell me what to do!  *F5*

Apropos of nothing, here's a quote that keeps popping into my head as I wait:

I feel like I could... like I could ... take on the world!

I know ... this is a bit silly.  I keep grabbing the iPad and refreshing the forums.  I feel a bit like a child on Christmas eve.

I just wish I hadn't uninstalled beta 4 -- even though I had the x64 ATI issue, it still was better than nothing :(

Haha tell me about it! Sadly I played it for far too long trying to convince myself that I was enjoying it.

True strength does follow from knowing one's own weaknesses. Me, I'm still finding buried nodes of bitterness about the vast amounts of pre-release reading time and the nice-dinner-party's-worth of money I wasted on that 5-star clusterfuck of corporate product development.

Hopefully the digression in this thread has dug the last scrap out of me and I can easily ignore future mentions of the Game That Didn't Deserve the Name Master of Orion.

You guys are lucky, I won't even be able to try the game until I go back to France (no decent connection to download the game here in Lebanon)...

2 weeks more to go :(

I was supposed to be quoting this:

Haha...sorry didn't mean to have that effect on you.

edit: and reply fail.

This is one time when it would be just a little bit useful to know the exact second the new version was going to be released, so no-one has to wait for an indefinite time. :-P

Best regards,
Steven.
