In preparation for the release of Elemental: War of Magic on August 24th, the Elemental beta is now officially over. If you have already installed the beta, you will be able to continue playing it normally. If you haven't installed the beta yet, you'll need to wait until the official release of the final game.

We'd like to give a big shout out to all of you who joined us in creating Elemental. Your feedback was very much appreciated!

 

Do not attempt to update the game if you wish to continue playing the beta until the final game is made available. As the beta keys are disabled, doing so will break your installation.

I just recently found out about this.. and I'm so f'ing excited...glad I only have to wait 4 more days.. (or is it shorter since I pre-ordered the digital download?

It sounds like it was changed (or the "update" was pulled?) so that it doesn't nuke your existing beta install. Can't check since I'm not home, though :P

Joust read this thread, but too late

Thinking about a Stardock surprise and reading "update avaible" i uninstalled the beta and tryed to reinstall the "new version"

"invalid registration"

Gee thanks.  I get this stupid yellow exclamation point in Impulse with NO explanation of what it means.  I load the game and get a message saying there is an important update, and I should update.  So I go back to Impulse and there isn't any info AT ALL nor can I find any update.  So I uninstall the game and now I can't reinstall or play it.

Thanks a lot Stardock.  Yet another reason to hate Impulse.

Surely this could have been handled better.
