FiringSquad has an in-depth interview with Brad Wardell posted on their site.  Discussions involve details about Elemental gameplay, and some general Stardock questions.

FiringSquad: Could you describe Elemental for those that may not know anything about it? What kind of game is it and how is it played?

Brad Wardell: Sure! Elemental is a PC turn-based strategy game set in a magical, kind of medieval setting, in which the player takes on the role of a powerful magic caster, which can also battle with a sword, so sort of like a [battle-mage] type guy. They either build up their faction as a Kingdom or an Empire by researching technology, learning new magical spells, going to war, forging diplomatic alliances with other players, going on quests and all kinds of other stuff.

Possibly, possibly not. From what I can tell, Origin isn't that evil. Heck, they even seem to allow people running their own Ultima Online servers.

If that is true it'll be a refreshing change from beta 4.

Thing is its a doubled edged sword, if the remake mod is popular it may take away from any deals to offically remake Ultima or do another follow up. On the flip side it could build awareness and create a bigger fanbase for the franchise.

Its happened both ways in the past but for the life of me i can't think of a single one lol.
