Lets see: Ubisoft 24/7 Online connection or Steamworks?

It says a new might and magic as far as I can see, not Heroes of might and magic. Probably will be (I hope anyways) a new heroes game, so it better be an improved effort over V.

I fear that Ubisoft will stay with their 24/7 online rule.. which means that several of nice series are not playable for me anymore. It's really a pity. Steamworks is the lesser evil of both cases.

Oh right didn't notice that. Excellent. Hope the garish cartoony graphics are toned down for the new one.

Ubisoft could spend $100 billion, 10 years and employ half the population of England to produce the greatest game the world's ever seen; I still wouldn't buy it if these filled it with their ridiculous DRM.

While I agree with you for the most part, I'm willing to make exceptions to that rule. Settlers 7 was just too important for me to ignore, for instance. Should HoMMVI see the light of day (and doesn't "suck"), I'll probably cave in and buy it, too.

Still, I hope Ubisoft have plans to patch out the copy protection sooner or later.

Sorry but I had been hoping for a new version... until all this DRM stupidity started. Now they can announce it (or tease like it's the case) and I feel unable to think of anything else. Sad.

More on topic, maybe this time it will be good from the get go instead of needing two expansion packs? :P

Apparently, the future is a 404 error.

I would rather see a new King's Bounty come out.

When Ubisoft is involved, DRM is always on topic.

It seems clear that this is referring to a Might and Magic game, NOT a heroes one. I believe the current heroes being worked on is that god awful MMOTBS idea that should die. That is all.

Best regards,

Paradoxical.

Actually that link is FUBAR, but it tries to redirect you to the facebook page -> http://www.facebook.com/MightandMagic

..as for this is HoMM 6. or not, we will figure it out very soon. [I am almost certain that this IS H6 :P]

I was all excited about this until I looked it up and saw it was just an addon to armored princess and not an actual new game.

So it's HoMM VI. afterall...

First screenshots: http://www.gamershell.com/pc/heroes_of_might_and_magic_vi/screenshots.html
Graphics/art similar to V, some nice improvements on them though (Haven looks sweet), bigger battlefield? And the video was really cool (muuuuussssiiic...).

It better be a very bad game because it's an amazing game and has UbiDRM...  >:(

Addon for an addon? XD

saw this on multiple forums. Surprised no one said it looks more like a Kings Bounty mod.

Expressing your dissatisfaction with Ubisoft's copy protection method is fine. Selfishly wishing HoMMVI to fail because you refuse to buy it should it utilize the controversial "always-online service"... overdramatizing things much?

Anyway, the visuals are strikingly "HoMM V-y", only three resources plus gold... I'm getting a bit worried.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this; it worries me as well.

That aside; I think it looks nifty. Still, it'll take something truly mighty to unseat HoMM III in my books (I did enjoy HoMM V a great deal, though... so maybe this one will be good as well).

Addon for an addon?

Well at least armored princess was a standalone game. You started off with a new level 1 character and had a new story and at least a few different game mechanics (a dragon instead of demons in a box). Crossworlds doesn't even seem to give that, it's just more stuff to do with your existing character. I never even finished Armored Princess because it bogged down too much at the end (although overall I did enjoy the game a great deal).

Selfishly wishing
I didn't kow that I had the power to make my wishes (as silly as they may be) become true.

BUt yeah, may it fail miserably like HoMM IV. :P

I hope ubisoft dies a slow horrible death because of their DRM scam.

It looks similar to HoMM5, but I'll be looking forward for it.

Although I still think that HoM&M works better in 2D.

But I guess that being in 2010, I will never have that wish come true. Whatever the game, everything must be in 3D.
