[Beta 4] Pioneers not able to harvest resources?

Button isn't there when pioneer is over a resource

As I recall, the tech tree requirements for harvesting any resources on the map have been removed (which I sort of think there should be some, like harvesting crystal and shard shrines, but hey).

In any event, in .98 beta 4, I have not been able to build on any resources (gold depsoits, oasis, etc) with a Pioneer unit.  I can build on them only if they are contiguous with an existing city.  This is extremely limiting, and competely eliminates the benefit of having resources in yoru domain.

Is this a bug for a feature (i.e. documented)?

Pioneers don't build resources anymore. As long as the resource is in your zone of influence, click on it and you'll get an option to build the appropriate harvester tile.

If I recall, it simply points out "harvest this with a mine" but I'll try again this evening. I really could use those gold mines.  :)

When you click on it the build icon appears.

I liked it better before... Either that or show the build option for a resource as un-greyed under your town build selection.  Also it would still be nice to go out and capture those resources... which adds to the strategy of the game... cause then you could send out armies to sit on them to protect things like shards.

^ I agree, I'd rather see those resources in the build screen of whatever city they're tied to.

From what I've read the option to build wont appear in the town at all, only on the resource when you click it in your domain.  Hopefully all of those resources will show what town they connect to after the structure is completed.
