[.98][crash] Second time I use a created sovereign - world creation cycles

Not sure what file to load ...

I created a custom sovereign.  I played through part of game, decided to restart.  Now the world creation just cycles.

Workaround if to create another sovereign, but not sure what happened.

I just wanted to follow and say that I can confirm this multiple runs.  If I am the only one maybe I need to reinstall.

Select prior created sovereign. Start Game.  Endless cycle startup screen. (panning view of landscape)

Please see this thread - read it all the way through - for which files the developers need in order to debug the problems you report.  They'll need to see any dump files and any debug.err files that might have been created.  For your problem it sounds like there won't be a dump file, but the debug.err would probably be useful.

Let me rephrase ...

Elemental hangs and I have to kill in Task Manager.  No crash file is generate in All Users/Stardock/Elemental

The other thing I can add is the I never 'Save' my Sovereign.  I just make him and launch ... but the Sovereign shows up in future games as an option to select ... but then the game never starts.

<sigh>

This may be a performance issue instead.  I walked away to get some tea .. it cycles, but eventually started.  It just took longer to build the world than it sometimes did.

Maybe feedback on the world build would be usefull? (e.g. Place goody huts ... etc)

There is a feedback on the world creation screen. There is a progress bar that advances as it goes through its creation cycle. If that bar isn't doing anything, the game isn't doing anything.

The game currently (version 0.98) has serious issues with restarting within the same session, whether it is new game or just loading a save of a previous turn. Best thing to do is to just exit the game all the way back to windows desktop, and then restart the game. Although even then, the game exhibits certain issues with memory and still hangs or crashes that can only be truly fixed by rebooting the machine itself.
