Deskscapes 3 freezes when uTorrent 2.0.2 starts running

I'm running Deskscapes 3 on my HTPC with Win 7 Ultimate 64.  When I start uTorrent 2.0.2 the animated background just freezes up.  I have to close uTorrent and restart the system to get the background to function again.  Any idea on would would cause this.  No other programs have caused this problem for me.  It freezes up as soon as uTorrent starts, and it simply cant be corrected with out a system restart.  Funny thing is, the preview screen still animates in the Deskscapes configuration window. 

Its a rather modest HTPC and its specs are below:

Intel E2100 @ 3GHz

4 GB ram

Win 7 ultimate 64 bit

Nvidia GT210 video card.

I dont torrent that much, so its not that big of a deal.  Just when free (ie legit) shows and indie films are offered up.  The rest of the time its just a stream box.  So its not that important, but I would like to try and solve it if anybody has any ideas.

Pause DeskScapes while running uTorrent. This would solve it. Also, rather than rebooting when it freezes, can't you just kill DeskScapes in Task Manager?

Well considering the load a torrent application might have on your system that would be expected until it fully loads even with 4 gigs of ram. ;)

Well when it frezzes up, it says frozen for as long as uTorrent is pulling down the torrent.  Be it a few minutes, or a day or two.  So time is not the factor here.  Once its done downloading and starts seeding the animation starts again.  If I kill uTorrent by hand or stop its download then it causes Deskskapes to stay frozen and I need a restart.  It some sort of conflict, but for th life of me I cant guess what it is.  I'll give pausing Deskscape a try before starting a download and see if that helps.  Thanks for the tip.
