Inception... maybe the best movie i saw EVER.

Ok maybe not ever. But maybe ill put it in the top 5 of the movies i have seen in the past 25+ years.

The writing was pure genius. To put something as complicated as this movie into words (book/screen play) and then make a movie about it, was no easy task.

A dream within a dream, within a dream. I dont even know how to describe why i like this movie.

I wasnt too excited to see it, i like comedies. but after my friend dragged me along and i sat through this 2 hours 20min movie. I was in complete shock.

Really guys go see it. Hollywood barely graces us with anything original. And this was an original masterpiece.

From the trailers it reminds me of the Anime Movie Paprika, which was taken from a Japanese science fiction novel, I really want to see it, looks like it needs to be seen on a big screen!

Ive seen previews, and I think it looks good. I sometimes can get into crashing buildings and stuff, and this looks like my kind of movie. I don't see many anymore. Pre Hot Fuzz I watched a lot of movies, but that one sort of ruined all other movies for me. I do like Christopher Nolan though, I enjoyed both Batmans, and Memento was pretty cool. Haven't seen insomnia though.

Look guys im not into paying $10 to see a movie at the movie theater. But this is one movie that you shouldnt hold back on and you shouldnt download an illegal crappy copy. This should be the next movie you are going to see.Only reason i dont rate it #1 movie of all time for me, is that suspense and good plot dont go well the second time around.

So seriously go make an effort to see it. When i walked out of the theater it wasnt like "oh that was a pretty cool movie". It was like more like "woah... ". And i think you will laugh at the end of the movie when the whole audience says "ahhhh."

So basically it's the same response everyone had when the very first "Matrix" movie came out back in the day. I remember seeing "The Matrix" for the first time when I was 16 or 17 I think. When me and my friends walked out of the theater our minds were completely blown. The whole thought of the world being realistically simulated inside a computer was mind blowing especially since when you look at the rise of human technology we're really not all that far from having the technology capable of making a "Matrix" type environment. I'd say, with advances going at the rate they've went in the last 100-50 years, we'll have "Matrix" technology some time in the next 50 years, 75 years at most.

Now with our understanding of quantum physics being what they are, chaos theory, string theory, the theory that there are literally thousands of different dimensions with thousands of different versions of us in different realities....there's a very, Very, VERY small chance, like 1 out of 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 that we really ARE living in a super advanced computer program or we very well all might be someone else's dream. When they wake up, or unplug that computer, our universe will end in a flash. Kinda scary when you think about it. Even Einstein supported some of those crazy nut job "theories". I would tend to agree that it's impossible, if not just really highly unlikely, but then again there's always that minute chance.....you never really know, and none of us will know until we die (even then we might not find out lol).

I love having conversations about these theories, and even coming up with theories of my own. The universe is so awesome.......I just watched a tv show about these huge gamma ray bursts we were detecting in other galaxies which turned out to be hypernovas. Look up hypernova if you're curious. Another good show on the science channel is into the wormhole with Morgan Freeman. Really interesting stuff......and it will blow your mind. I also loved the Matrix, there's some great interpretations of that movie online.

I had the same feeling when i walked out of the matrix when first released at the theaters. I didnt want to bring that up b/c some people are oh the matrix was stupid or boring or not that cool. But i think people forget how amazing it was seeing it for the first time when it first came out.

So yes, after inception me and my friend were in  a little bit of a dazed.

We were like "now what do we do?", b/c there was nothing in the whole day that could of topped that.

I had that reaction when I saw The Dark Knight. No comic book movie will ever be awesome again, because they can't possibly stack up against a standard that high.

 

The same director on both of these also did Memento, which was another great movie. Sufficed to say I'll be going to this one.

I still ain't going to no cinema, though... haven't done in over 25 years, been to the movies, that is.

However, I will watch it on a big screen when it comes out on DVD... using the projector and 15' x 7'6" screen  ;P

Yeah, from people who go to the cinema and record it on some crappy cell phone type video... like how recalcitrant is that?  :thumbsdown:

Nah, I'll wait until I can rent/buy it on DVD... haven't upgraded to bluray as yet.

I know I laughed:P I think that's the first movie I've been to where the audience did something like that at the ending (granted, I don't go to the movies very often). I could see that coming though. I was thinking "oh, the screen's going to go black an second now" and then it did:P

I won't say it's the best movie I've ever seen, but Inception is defiently very, very good, although a bit confusing at times.

You can't compare certain film genres, but  when I left the cinema I realised the same thing : this could be the best film I ever saw ! Nolan is now untouchable for me !

Before I saw it I was a bit concerned about the dreaming, because too much freedom can ruin everything (anyone who can remember "The Cell", for me that's one of the worst films ever made), but he used it in such a way I wanted to see, it's really incredible. And that's only the script ! Yes finally a film where the script got the most attention, in many films the script is so bad it completely ruins a potential big hit (Centurion, just to name one).

And then it has the perfect dose of emo/romance, a great cast (yes even Ellen Page is doing a great job!), no real chicks (always the biggest candidate to ruin a film), a lot of action (but not overkill), perfect dose of fancy stuff (again, no overkill), and the whole film is really focused on the story, not confusing (might sound strange, but I think it couldn't be done better).

Anyone with a bit of imagination and intellect SHOULD see Inception, really, if one film is worth the money, it's this one, hell I will even go see it a second time ! Anyone who doesn't like it, is being an ass or just plain stupid B)
