There is a known bug in recent nvidia video drivers where they do not always render things correctly.

We have reported the issue and hopefully they will have a fix for it eventually.

I've had that for some time now, but I'm not sure when it started. The odd thing is, with the Vintage dream (hich did work at one time)  applying it does result in it displaying as shown in the preview window. I have found that it will fill the screen properly if an effect is applied however. Any other dream that displays as shown I can change to fit my screen in DS Background settings.

Win7/64 EVGA8800GT with 257.21 drivers but I know it's been this way since at least 2 or 3 driver updates.

Thank you for the heads up Neil.

And TY to DC for the post.

I am happy to report that the newest nVidia drivers from 7/19/10 have fixed this problem for me. The numbers are 8.17.12.5896, Forceware 258.96. Win7/64 EVGA8800GT

All dreams preview and apply as they should.

well the driver update fixed the above problem BUT wrecked havoc on playing an dream

and even not having a dream the opepn window is sluggish..

so had to go back to 4/3/10 dtae and Driver v. 8.17.11.9745

I can live with the dream not displaying right in the DS interface....

maybe the next one will fix it fog me

Sorry to hear that you still have problems. The only thing I can think of for you to try is maybe completely uninstalling your old driver, then updating to the newest one. It shouldn't be necessary but it's worth a try. If that doesn't work there is little to do but wait until the next driver version to try again.  I hope that the fact that the new drivers fixed the previews for you and everything for me means nVidia is moving in the right direction.

Thanks Wiz,

Yes I will try that go back to the on board Graphic then install the new one and see what it will do.
