[Bug Crash][Beta 3 .805] Unable to load game from start menu - version 2

This crash looks the same as the previous one here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/386450 but in this case it gets stuck on the loading screen which comes after 'building world'

At this point the load never progresses, but the cutscene keeps running and the music keeps playing. Unusually I can also CTRL-Esc in and out of this without any issues, but it doesn't make the game load (just makes it easier for me to post the bug report!)

I've seen this also.  Marginally better than a freeze. :grin:

I'd say it's worse actually, the lack of a freeze makes you think it might not be screwed, false hope sucks :P

This happens to me all the time with loading.   It's a more extreme example of 'let it load for 20 seconds', just let it sit at the title screen for like 5 minutes then go load, usually works for me.
