Ok Im Confused now

So i created my own bootskin and the preview shows great..... the colors and everthing are well within the scope... now when i reboot, my screen blinks and is pretty much just black but my image never shows... then windows finally loads up.... not sure what else to do

Usually that's caused by the background image and progress bar not being from the same colour palette. They also need to be 4 bit 16 colours.
