I often move my army to a city to heal and it's a pain to have to manually select all 15 units to be able to move them out again. A shortcut key such as ctrl-a to select all units in a city would be great.
I agree. Also, I think there should be a thread about all sorts of keyboard shortcuts we'd like to see.
Could work, only risk is confusion as to what it is you are selecting all of if ctrl+a is used. However, it should work well since you have selected a town and there is nothing else you can select several instances of in that case than units. For example you can't select more than one town or select any units outside of that town once it's been selected.
There could also be a small button for selecting all units in the STationed Units window.
I don't know the best solution, but I feel right now multiselection of units works "sometimes". Often I get it wrong for some reason and can't get all the units to move together. A screen for selecting units and turning them into armies might help. Shortcuts like CtrlA might help, but extend that to select all units in a tile, not just a city.
Can't you select all units in a tile by clicking on the shield icon?
