Labels for Docks

Is there a way to put the label below each icon in the tabs?  I'm using this software for work, and in some tabs have several Excel documents.  They all look teh same and wanted to be able to easily and quickly identify each file/icon without having to mouse over each one for the label to appear

what version are you using? 1.9 or 2.0?  If it's 1.9, go into that docks properties and select Size & Appearance.  At the bottom where it says Entry Names, select Show below each entry from the dropdown.  That will carry over to 2.0.  So if you are using 2.0 and still have 1.9, unload 2.0, start 1.9, make the changes and then unload 1.9 and start 2.0.  I'm not seeing the option in the 2.0 properties.  Anyone?

natas2, it worked perfectly...thanks!

I had to make my icons the largest so I could have as much text as possible under each icon (I couldn't find a way to decrease the font size under each icon so that more text appears).

Thanks again!

All you can do is change the font type and bold or italic.  The size only changes the tab font size, not the icon names.  Which sucks.  Do the unload/reload as before and click on Tabs & Styles, then Adjust the font for text on tabs.  Here is where you can change the font type and check/uncheck bold or italic.

Hi,

I'm trying to install my ObjectDock 1.9 to solve the font's tab label dimension and also to have my flyout menu, but I cannot activate it :(

I put my mail and my OD serial in it when I asked for, but I only have this reply:

I have my Stardock email with all my Product serial number and infos, so I,m sure about what I write.

My only doubt is about the upgrade on OD 2: is it possible that I cannot put my OD 1.9 serial because I've bought the new one?

Please help.... I'm reinstalling my PC and I have already lost too much time on this :(

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english

Lio

PS I have also written at Stardock support for having the activation by mail, but for now no reply.

liosac, do you have Impulse installed? Is so, all you should need to do is logon to it using the same info used with your purchase. Then go to the My Software tab. OD 1.9 should be there for you to install. If not, try clicking on the blue button at top left, select preferences, then reset data. Then close and reopen Impulse and see if OD appears.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

It's a really big mess :( I have both OD now (od 1.0 plus and OD 2) but if i let Impulse install them, I cannot select where I want them installed.

I have to install all my prgs in D:/  so my first installation for OD is in D:, but when I tried before to install newly OD 1.9 and OD 2, Impulse put both in C: .... so now I have Stardock >Impulse - OD Plus - OD 2 in D: (my old installation) and one done by Impulse in C:.

Now I've uninstalled all but my question is : How can I have my installation in D:?

Thanks in advance Lio

In Impulse, go to the blue menu tab in the upper left. Then choose Preferences, then Folders. The very first option will be to change the install location.
