Nice stuff! You deserve k1  for this. :)

Awesome- not really much of a use for it in Elemental... the public has the Stardock forums, and mod downloads are handled in game :) - Defiantly will keep my eyes on it though :)

we offer much more then forums ;) if you decide to start a mod in bigger sizes like a total conversion, you need a place to discuss stuff privately in your team, and to organize what you are doing (Project management system). Also, for your mod material, you need enough webspace.

I have worked on total conversions for Galactic Civilizations II, so I have some experience in that ;)

Because of our friendship to stardock &  envolvement on their games, we offer their fans (you) a nice place & service which increases the fun of playing & modding their games.

Just give it a try and we do our best, so you can enjoy SD games even more.

greets,

Stefan

The PMS sounds interesting...Could you elaborate more on it?

I do agree that mods need a place to discuss stuff  - E:EE actually has it's own Dev forums fortunetly, or I might look into that as well.

The PMS is a forum integrated feature, that allows coordinating tasks and handling bugs. You can give priorities and make a task specific to a working group or single worker, and the person will be updated on his task.

This management can help you a lot to organise your working steps and increase the efficiency.

The SVN is also a great tool for mod teams. If you've used one before then you already know what I'm talking about. For those that haven't, your mod is uploaded to a SVN repository that is accessible only to your mod team. As each team member makes a change or improvement to the mod, they update it in the SVN. Then the next time team members open their mod files, they will see a red X instead of a green check mark which indicates that the mod has been updated, and specifically which files have been updated. Then they just click on update, and in a matter of seconds their mod files also have the new updated material. So if you add a new map, ship, character, or whatever, everyone on your team will also have it as well. And have it instantly.
