I Just Can't Win

The engine in my truck was just rebuilt about a month ago because it was running through coolant. On my way back up from NC to WI it started running through about 2 gallons every 350 miles. Again.

I am in a hotel tonight and have to put my truck into the garage, yet again, tomorrow morning. I am seriously getting sick of this shit. This engine has been trouble since day one.

Once again I am losing income due to this damn truck. I would love it if the garage burned to the ground with my truck inside it.

I am at a loss for words Mason.  Can you trade out trucks?  If you are not driving your company isn't making money either.  I would think it would benefit them to have a reliable truck for you to drive.  But, what do I know about the trucking business?  Take care.

When do they decide to just bag the old engine and replace it?  It does seem to have more problems than any I have heard of.  I hope it is not long before they at least get it fixed again.

The boss and I discussed trading it in but with business having been so slow last year they are forced to wait until next year to buy any new equipment.

That's exactly what we've been wondering. It would seem that by now all of the warranty work on that engine would make it cheaper for them to just replace the damn thing and be done with it.

The shop is promising that the problem, the EGR cooler (again) will be repaired by late tonight and I can pick it up first thing in the morning.
