The automatic uploads can randomly take 1 minute or 1/2 an hour or not work at all.  Something is still amiss.

BTW, is anybody monitoring this thread anymore?  No s Stardock responses in quite some time

Yeah it would be nice if someone dropped by and let us know whats going on. Being able to log in would be nice.

I just got back from vacation, so I'm trying to catch up on what's been going on for the past week.

They are working on the uploading issues specifically, so hopefully an update will come very soon.

working on a bunch of things...  What's in for now:  I noticed a lot of people upset that they have no way to link to all their skins for others to view not in a list form (which they used to do by pointing to their WC personal page).

Unfortunately fully fixing the personal page images right now isn't really feasible, however, I have added this functionality to the new site.  Now when you view someone else's list of skins you should be able to change the filter on the side to be tiles instead of a list, thus recreating the old functionality.  The way to get to this list for others is to go to their profile in the new WC then click the "View ______'s Skins" button and change the filter to tiles.  For those of you looking to link to a list like this for yourself use this template:

I will try to keep working on this stuff as I can, we are looking into the issue of uploads still going into moderation for everyone (along with the spaces getting cut out of descriptions) and the explore menu keeping your customized options on the forums right now.

Those are my biggest gripes. Other than that, upon becoming accustomed to the new site, it's not so bad after all.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys who are working behind the scenes to repair the site for all us whiners and moaners to use. I am so glad you're there, and I really appreciate the job you do!  Thanks!!

looks like *cross fingers* we have fixed the bug of skins going into moderation that shouldn't be.  Let us know if any of you are still having this issue.  I'm working on the description thing, we think its actually just stripping out the line breaks on the displaying of the skins (thus if you enter a description that looks wrong, its probably right in the database its just displaying wrong).  Which is better then if it was saved wrong.

ok update again: got the line breaks fixed it looks like.  If your skin had broken line breaks and was uploaded recently you may have to fix them manually, however, uploads going forward should work right out of the box and anything you fixed manually or what was uploaded on the old site should be fine.

Let me know if this is not the case.

One small thing

If you leave several spaces between words the space gets dropped.

Example:    A Redneck Creation                    2010

becomes A Redneck Creation 2010.

I have to Do this:  A Redneck Creation .............. 2010

I just went and edited the link on a skin and it borked the line breaks on one that wasn't already borked. Had to go manually fix that.

Also, Murex told me that he edited a link on his new Xion skin and it wouldn't take, so he had to reup the whole thing and now it's in moderation.

In the skin comments, text set to Italic won't show in the comment when posted. Bold or underlined will.

A small request. Could the "more button" for new skins on the front page be relocated since it's so close to the last entry it tends to hit it if the underline doesn't show.

Another bug I noticed is if you have a back button on your mouse it doesn't work when browsing the galleries...you have to click the back button at the top of the page. Clicking the back button on the mouse doesn't take you back to the previous page...after clicking several times it takes you back to the beginning.

Yay, someone fixed the bottom half of the background under articles/comments.

Is the "My Settings" done away with in the new site ? Just asking coz I still see "Master Apprentice" on my personal site so how do I update it to "Journeyman" now as previously it was done with "My Settings" though the level shows it !!

Is there any way that we can get the option back to do a "save as" when we right click a download button on a skin?  I prefer to have a "hard copy" of skins I use, and, also, I always do another check on files before I open them for virus's, etc.  To me, if this option is not going to be available again, I probably will no longer download anything from the site.  This is not a threat...please don't read that into it.  It is just that I am one of those people that want to make sure that something I download will not mess up my computer.

If you use Firefox jazzymjr you can right click on the button and do a save as.  That function does not work in Internet Explorer though, and I don't think it has anything to do with the way WinCustomize is set up, I think it is just IE itself that is the problem.
