Private Messages

A Handy Tool That Is Often Overlooked

Public forums are all well and good...but from time to time you have an occasion where something needs to be passed on to just one [or a few] individuals without inviting scrutiny and/or flame from coincidental audience.

Clicking on a User's Name in a post/thread will pop up a menu of options, one of which is "Private Message".

It's an invaluable tool for Admins and Mods...but it's also handy for all.

Don't foget to use it [and perhaps check [Just below the Welcome bar] for messages for you that may be languishing unnoticed....;)

Is this post the equivalent of putting out a yellow flag at a grand prix, or just a pit board? :)

Don't you just hate it when someone just joins a web site in order to post SPAM links! Sure seeing a lot of that lately, even on my sites. :omg:

I would love to have a 3D Program.. that doesn't cost a long  Does anyone know of one.. I'm currently using 4X PSP but it has it's limits.. or I have a limit on my talent.. .lol whichever that is... Anyway I been thinking..lol Patsy38

After this reply I'll lock the post.

There are three things that can happen with a submission:

  1. Rejected - it never gets seen on WC
  2. Approved for the user's page - not in the main gallery because it does not meet standards
  3. Approved to the public gallery - everyone can see it

This post is about private messages - those that are sent using the private message system on WC.  They are not to be shared unless all parties agree to it.  Private messages from admins or moderators are almost NEVER made public.  All other posts on these forums (like this one) is public.
