Fable 3
This will be my whole reason of getting another 360, I love the fable franchise with a passion.

got the 360 just for fable 2 but it failed, just like the first the 3rd better be good for once.
ok i will tell you where i am annoyed about fable so far, once you play through there is really nothing left to do and playing through again show you that there isn't much diffence in the choices you make and the result. its not really open ended at all just really lets you play on when the story is finished and all the quests, thats what both fables have failed to fix i will read a few reviews before buying the 3rd one.
Story was rather short morrowind has a much longer as well as oblivion.
Both oblivion and morrowind are story driven games, unlike fable where the most important concern was not the story But your characters life and what you chose to do with it. There is actually a bit to do in both, but the thing is are you willing to go do it or are you just expecting it to fall in your lap. In fable one the choices you made may not have had a bigger impact, but in fable two the choices changed the world in many ways, unlike in oblivion where it all remained the same no matter what you did. Come to think of it, I am still playing oblivion and I don't remember coming accross any type of moral choice, hell even quest are automatically thrown on you, and you aren't given the chance to refuse someone. Secondly you can't even say that about fable choices when it is the name any any game like it really, Kotor, not sure about 2, jade empires, Dao and so as the choices barely makes an impact outside teammates liking or hating you which could easily be countered by constantly giving them their favorite gifts.
As long as Peter Molyneux keeps his mouth shut I'll look forward to Fable 3. As soon as he starts talking about how "revolutionary" it will be I'll lose interest.
Bara
i agree with that Bara since he thinks its something new when its not, might be for him though.
anyway so far the morale choices don't make much diffiernce its basicly yes or no, not yeilding any negitives or positves towards your character that can make a diffince on the overall ending of the game, so far Fallout 3 did a far better job on that issue then fable has done so far all together.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to Fable III, and I'm glad the series keeps evolving and trying new things. I'd rather htey tried to do something new and interesting and stumbled along the way, than just do the same thing over and over. The Fable series so far has been pretty good in terms of opening up the RPG Genre to new ideas and really making the world interactive, and while it's also done some bad things I think calling the series a failure is frankly unfair.
In Morrowind or Oblivion (Oblivion is my personal favourite game of all time) you can own a house, or even a Castle, but you can't own every house and every castle, and the removal of clothing items from Morrowind in Oblivion limited the ability to visually customise your character. Fable II really extended out that customisation - albeit still not quite as far as I would've liked.
Fable also has a lot of personality and charm, and rocking British humour, however it just doesn't have enough content to really sell it's themes and ideals or really make the player invest in the world. I like the addition of the Dog in Fable II, however it really wasn't useful enough as a design feature or expressive enough as a character. Incorporating hte Golden Bread Crumb trails into the Dog - so the Dog leads you - would've been great, but they didn't take the idea far enough. It's a linear game world in content and size trying to be an open game world in game design, which makes for a somewhat short and shallow experience, albeit a fun one.
I like the idea of being a King of a country of reactive people. Now, if they added some Tropico-like features, they'd have a near instant-classic on their hands.
I loved both Fables....though the lack of a Final boss in 2 ticked me off ![]()
1. MAKE A DAMN PC VERSION!
2. FIX THE MAGIC SYSTEM (Seriously at level 5 we mage players raped all in or path, before it we got raped.)
3. Much...MUCH more diverse magic, companions. family system (if you die; your kid will finish what you started. If you don't have a kid then it is game over), much better money system (fable 2 was ok, but ot hurt the adventure and grave robbing business greatly.)
haha. Fair statement. Looking forward to fable 3 in the meantime. Great exclusive for the 360.
If you play Fable and Fable 2 without hearing the hype they are good games. If you play them after hearing the hype they suck.
In fable 1 you were supposed to age. You kid could be the next hero. Trees would age, everyone would be in real time. Fable 2 was supposed to re-add all of this and add other imaginary crap.
In fable one the aging kind of made sense. Your age was based off the amount of experience you obtained. So the more exp orbs you collected the older you got. I just hated how the world around me didn't age also and my damn wife stayed young while I got older.
Sounds like the dream life to me...
