2.0 Question

Just installed 2.0 and immediately noticed that I can no longer drag & drop datafiles onto my program shortcuts in the dock?
in the "old" version the datafile would be opened by whatever program i dropped it onto, but now the same icon is doing everything it can to avoid
me doing so, "cleverly" dodging out of the way as I try. :-)

The mind boggles, please tell me I'm doing something wrong?

First thing I tried. That prevents the stuff in the dock from being removed, but the icons still jiggle around to get out of the way if I attempt to plop anything onto any of them.
