I did that a year ago (blog post) and it worked out great, although not as clean since I have the surge protector zip tied to the rack and made a mess with all the looping to keep the wires in there. Looks worse now because I cut the under-board to half-height, so now all the plugs and junk are visible. [e digicons]X|[/e]

A lot of my cables are kept tidy by conduits made from a couple of lengths of garden hose slit lengthways and nailed to the back side of my desk.  Thing is, I added an extension to the desk for my spare rig, so now I need to get behind there and re-organise it all again.

One solution is to go to some place like Home Depot and buy some thin walled pvc piping the length of your desk or however much you need and then just run a electric saw down the length of it to open up about a 2 inch gap...then just screw it to your desk and drop your cable in it. That's what I did with the (slightly bigger than standard) garden hose, cut along the length with a craft knife and fixed it to the back of my desk.

And the great thing about it is that it didn't cost me a cent... well maybe a couple of cents for battery power.  Yeah, I slipped over the fence after dark and cut about 5 foot off the neighbour's hose (he was none the wiser)... then the next morning, I knock on his door to borrow the craft knife to slice up the length.

Nah, seriously, he was tossing it to the tip, and technically (he tells me) it's irrigation hose, not yer standard garden hose, which is why it's a bit bigger in circumference.  Still, it does the trick.

Seriously, great idea, ID! fortunately, my desks at home and at the office both have panels that help hide the wires, and for the ones that are exposed, zip ties have worked wonderfully.

You still have wires showing Jafo. Unless everything is wireless.

Keyboard is bluetooth...mouse is wireless.

Only wires visible are from desk top level to monitor and L and R speakers beside.

Hint....wireless Monitors aren't going to happen....

Wireless internet is bad? I disagree.

I run my desktop off the wifi from the router downstairs. Never had any issues. Depends on the hardware you use and the connections.
