Magic would have been the solution but sadly I got a Water Shard and all Raise and Lower spells use Earth Shards. 
hehe i know what you mean kinda hard to get a shard... man only if u could use ships but thats not in as far as i know of yet
I'm curious how you got a sov with those stats in an explorable area that small. Can you build a custom with 80 hits and 30 essence, did you fight endless spiders, or what?
It's so hard to tell how magic will play out right now, since magic is so, so limited. I can only hope, though, that one can't end up in the situation where they've picked an Air-aspected channeler but there's no way to actually get an Air shard due to map gen, thus locking you out of any useful spells.
Or, like you, get stuck behind impassable terrain because, as a super-powerful channeler, you can't cross a mountain range ...
